Was busy cancelling my MWEB (as my 6 months 'Contract" ran out even if it's a month to month bleh)

I recently moved and tried contacting Mweb's moving dept , NO feedback nothing. Was told I can cancel my existing contract and apply for a new install at the new premise.

Ok did that got a call from a representative , explained the story only to be told there's a 12 month T&C and I will be paying a 'cancellation fee".

I want to stay with Mweb as I have had no issues technically , but their support departments are totally useless and nobody can tell me what to do now. Tried calling the Billing Dept , hold on for 20 mins only to get cut off.

Can someone that has moved premises PLEASE tell me what the process is or who I can contact.

suggestion as to what you can do:
1) Cancel your mweb subscription
2) contact a competent ISP with your new address
3) enjoy better internet and get the service/support that you pay for

Good day

Please PM me your MWEB account details in order for me to assist you with your query, thanks.

Another day ....still nothing .... yes I think it's definitely a sign ...... absolute useless support

Mweb in a nutshell. If you do actually need support, they can’t provide it.

I managed to cancel my line with them in December - it took about five phonecalls in week, each at least 30 minutes long, with more than a little yelling on my side.

I cancelled in 1st of January , full calendar month yet they STILL want to bill me for Feb .... LOL

I sent a strong worded email and PM they can go away , or speak to my lawyer.

Better yet, find an ISP that allows you to cancel with one click of a button in their control panel. Never trust an ISP that makes it difficult to cancel their products.

And just never trust web in general, it’s actually a safer idea to trust the ANC, and we all know how well that’s working out.

A calendar month is the last day of the next month, you cancelling on the first means last day of Feb.
They're just enforcing the contract, you should have sent your cancellation notice a day earlier.

Mweb has terrible support, but this time they're in the right.

OK , so the saga continues ....

A consultant FINALLY phones me back.

So in order for me to MOVE my line , I need to cancel my current service (at a claw back fee of 2200) AND , AND then I need to pay upfront the installation cost of the new install. I told the lady no thanks I'll just cancel and she STILL asks me , so do I want to sign up again LOL ......

All I can say is MWEB will NEVER see a cent from me again , they are a bunch of crooks that just launder money with Ts&Cs and lack of service delivery.

never again .....

P.S what is the accounts Dept email anyone ? Cause I'm NOT calling them again .......

I want to cancel my account but i never received any master username or password. I don't know what to do. Can you please help me?

Where do you get that a calendar month is the last day of the next month?
In T's & C's where it is explicitly defined, it's defined as any one of the 12 (twelve) months in the year according to the Gregorian calendar, from the first day to the last day of the respective month.

Mweb. service is pathetic. They do not have an email for customer support, queries or cancellations on their website. I had to find the address [email protected] on your website. If you try to call them you stay hold forever. It is worse than any government department. I am cancelling my contract before the end of this month so they have a full month notice.

I cancelled my contract with them about 3 months before the time. No excuses for them. Went smoothly

Why would a calendar month be two months? What magic is this?

My approach to the less than honest companies these days, cancel as per terms & condtions. Reverse payment if on debit order, very few left of these. Dont pay if I pay by EFT.
