MWEB Throttled uncapped ADSL feedback

Hi

From what I see the account the account is still speed limited.
These thresholds are based on a 30 day rolling window and are recalculated daily. Currently your usage is based on only the usage for September.

Therefore the system is calculating your daily average and whether you exceed "acceptable parameter" using daily average.

Your usage everyday will therefore impact on the time it takes for the throttling to be lifted.
The less data you use the sooner the speeds will return to normal.

What a joke!

Mweb should change the throttling from 30 days to month to month. at least that way you will get more data p/month

On a 2mb line you get 70 gigs before they start throttling. Which means your first month will be 70gigs and all the months after will be 35gigs.

Assuming there are 30 days in each month. On your second month your first day will be throttled and your second day you can download 2.33 gig, third day will be throttled and so on...

so 2.33x15 = 35gigs

I've cancelled my account and they have been nailing me since then, I have not got a ping under 300ms in Diablo 3 since i cancelled and it often spikes to 1900ms. So much for them giving games preference.

What BS!

Sigh...

Left Afrifail uncapped due to incredibly bad service and horrible shaping. Tried their capped 75 +75gb package and seemed fine for a while. Made the decision to move to Mweb 2mb uncapped as I predominantly play PS4 online. I do look after how much I P2P so Im definitely not abusing the system.

Everything with MWEB was fine till a few days ago. All of a sardine I'm slapped down to 40kbps MAX downloads and even my gaming has suffered.

I do countless speed tests and receive the following:

DOWNLOAD
0.18Mb/s

UPLOAD
0.34Mb/s
PING 12 ms

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3933233714

The PS4 has it's own TEST CONNECTION and I get: (This monring)

DOWNLOAD
42.0 kbps

UPLOAD
281.5 kbps

I contact the support team yesterday over the phone and get told I'm throttled. 80 Gig done so far this month. *Confused* But this is an uncapped service me thinks. "Youve been throttled sir."

Would this affect my speed test I ask, and I'm told yes, it will affect your speed test. HOLD ON... No it shouldn't. A speed test is a speed test not P2P or Gaming traffic. Also Why are you shaping or throttling this and GAMING traffic? The PS4 does updates while the machine is in Standby mode. How the hell do I stop it from downloading a 8 GIG update for WarFrame because Mweb's policies are being enforced. Bad Ps4.. Now go sit in the corner. ????

WHY AM I RECEIVING SUCH SLOW SPEEDS even for gaming? You guys pride yourselves on your MWEB GAMEZONE and how wonderful gaming with MWEB is... Pssshhh Marketing babble TBH.

I have also been fair and contacted Telkom to see if they can see anything funny with my line. All is fine on Telkoms side Im told.
