MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Is Durban in the junk again because I am getting pings in the 100's and latency through the roof. Other accounts behaving normally.

I think so, thinks have gone downhill here in Westville. Skype, TS3 and International in general are proving hard to remain connected to.
 
In Cpt. Crazy international problems too. Especially browsing.

Do you see any current outages listed on our Network Status page for your area? If not, double-checking your DNS settings should be a good place to start troubleshooting for this; ensure that it's set to receive details automatically on both your modem and end-user devices.
 
For those of you who're experiencing issues in Durban, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'd like pass this along internally for further investigation but before I can do so, I'd need a few examples.

in PMB have both been complaining about intermittent 1 sec dc's

That would be unrelated to Durban I'm afraid. Same advice applies here though; check our Network Status page and, if you can't find any current outages impacting their area, get them to contact Support on 087 700 0777 to troubleshoot the connection.

I'd like to report that my connection is still crappy. I've been expecting this as I have narrowed it down to the exchange becoming unstable after a power failure. (We were only off for 5-10min on Sunday night). I don't know how but it eventually normalises after a few days. How do we go about reporting this to Telkom?

This is rather strange as logging a line fault for it may not result in the desired result.
Just to confirm, is the experience the same across multiple ISP accounts?
 
Does twitch streaming get shape. I'm only able to watch on low and it still buffers like crazy on a 4mb line is this normal?
 
Considering a Change from Uncapped 4 Mbps Premium ADSL to Uncapped 10 Mbps ADSL same Price R539 pm should be ok with our monthly usage avg 150gb/Month

Any thoughts ?

BigBear, go for the 10Mbps standard uncapped package if you're after speed; it comes with a threshold of approximately 250GB over a 30 day rolling window.

Tx probably need to get Telkom side upgraded 1st.. when would be best time to activate on Mweb side end of month ?

Hang on!! My 10Mbps CAPPED account is R719 pm? What am I missing here? Whats the difference between the uncapped and capped besides , well, the cap?
