Indeed I rebooted my router and then it started coming back to life again.... but still on the slow side... Any news on this MWEB Guy?

Hey Mweb guy

Whats going on with your business service? I left the office after it being off for 30minutes. Phoning the helpdesk wasn't much help as all I was told is there is a national outage for business with not estimated time for a fix.

Rebooted my router 3 times last night and already once tonight. Speeds are terrible. Almost workable just after reboot but crawls to a halt 10minutes later. Downloads running at 2,5kb on a 4mb line.
DSTV on Demand is unwatchable as it has way too much lag.

Im in Vaal Triangle area. First month on Mweb, must admit that most of the month was a breeze.

Hi Vl@d,

I had a look at the line readings, the attenuation on the line is a bit high. I would advise you to contact Telkom, ask them to re-create the port and see if your connection improves. Please keep me posted.

There are no reported international problems at the moment. Is it only Astraweb that you are getting that speed with? Is general browsing fine?

My speeds the last two days have been completely hopeless, I have a 4Mbit line and its running almost like a 56kbs modem. I cant even load speedtest.net
Is anyone else experiencing these issues, im tearing my hair out trying to get work done.
 
My line was also slow last night, however as the evening progressed the line returned to normal

Please advise if you have tried rebooting the router, clearing the temporary internet files & cookies?

Anything happen at midnight on the dot tonight? My skype went from working flawlessly to lots of video freezing issues. All other HTTP downloads are still fine. Its almost as though some extra shaping profile kicked in?
 
Mweb Guy, getting timeout on news this morning.

Everything else is fine. From Durban, anyone else having issues?
