You can have 4 extra e-mail addresses at no extra cost, that's what the Products page says:

As to whether you can keep your existing addresses, I am sure that is not an issue, although you may want to mention this when you sign up. (For reference: I am still using an [email protected] e-mail address).

Note: The My Account page has the following warning:
Extra mailboxes can only be accessed via MWEB's Message Centre service.

So, you can only use HTML viewing, not an SMTP/POP mail client program (e.g. MS Outlook).

You can just upgrade your current mweb account to the uncapped offering hence your account will be unchanged. Just the cap set to unlimited.

I have already signed up for the unshapped account and using it but I have just two questions:

1) Will I only be on the mweb servers once my line has been migrated to mweb?

2) If you have a 4mb DSL line with telkom and just take the mweb 384kb unshapped package will your line speeds drop to 384kb or will you speed stay at 4mb because you still paying your DSL line rental to telkom?

Your line speed will stay at 4mb but when using your mweb account you will be limited to your 384kbps, if you use another isp pppoe you will receive your full 4mb
 
If I sign up for the 512 uncapped service and use it on my 4MB line I will get a max download speed of 512kb. But what If I let all of my users dial up a PPPOE connection on their own individual computers through our 1 ADSL 4MB line - will they each get 512kb or will does the MWEB service not allow this?
 
I want the uncapped unshaped business ADSL for R1999 without having to sign a contract. Why is this not possible?

Waiting for an unshaped uncapped option without contracts, and I want to use my own router...

Yes, but only if each person uses a different/unique account. One account, one concurrent connection. You cannot use the same account on multiple pc's/users.

Hi XperiAnce,

Yes this is possible, all you need to do is (funny as it sounds) ask for your mail only account to be upgraded to 384 Uncapped (i.e. dont order a new service). Please speak to our sales call centre on 08600 32000.

Will the shaping always be so hectic? When I was getting 6KB/s I was fine, but now it's as if I can't connect to the server even! NOTE: the download is going still, but <1 KB/s... That, I feel, is a bit much. Also, local wow server ping of 200ms? Was getting 80 yesterday, and WoW uses 1-2KB/s anyway, so why shape that?
 
ok. now I am annoyed, getting dcd all the time, the shaping is killing gaming

I'm trying to sign up for this service but I'm waiting for the form to sign saying I want to upgrade my account. I've been waiting since 1:30pm :(
I've phoned the Sales Team multiple times and they keep saying they'll send it but it never comes.

Check you PM for details. I want to give you my money. Why don't you want it ;)

The speed that your router will get will not exceed the speed you subscribed to from Mweb if your router does the authentication for everyone. If all 'your users' dial a pppoe using the same 512 account from mweb (though I don't think it possible), then you will still only get 512k. If however you have totally different accounts for the other users at a higher line speed, and they dial pppoe, then (if I understand correctly) they can get the full 4Mbps line speed.

Have you multiple accounts, or just one Mweb account at 512k?
 
Mweb can you confirm that with the Openweb offer, I can contact Mweb directly as well as contacting Openweb?

As far as i can tell if you go with openweb its possible to get month to month. That what i done.

Yeah but what I want to know is whether I have a problem I can contact Mweb as well as Openweb, with the Openweb account.

No, the non-priority shaping should not be that extreme, I have our engineers investigating. Will revert as soon as I have something.

PS: Is your priority traffic such as browsing (http/https) and email (pop3/smtp) experiencing the same slowdowns?

Thats an emphatic no, MWEB does not have any 100GB, 200GB or whatever specified monthly traffic limit.
