It's probably the truth that Mweb doesn't want openly to admit. Where would he get it from otherwise?

Anyone else currently having problems. Keep losing connection - dropped about 5 times in the last hour, for a few seconds. Most likely a Telkom problem I would think. When its up it very slow.
Youtube buffering big time at the moment
Cape Town - 4meg uncapped
actually, everything slow, not just youtube - trying to pin things on pinterest and very slow....
Extremely slow tonight AND I never complain!
.. very slow @ 10kbps torrent (9963 seeds)
So much for a solution today, I was told by Mweb they would get a Telkom rep to look at the line today, so much for that.
Just out of interest, why promise a customer a service that you yourself have no control over?
Secondly, off peak night of reasonable browsing, something about the "noise on line" argument doesnt hold merit.
Shaped to death.
Took me three days to download a 899m file on utorrent.
Even woke up late one night to check speeds and it was running a 0.3kbs.
I have not many other complaints against Mweb other than their P2P shapping.
It was initially promised that throttling/shaping would be a peak time only thing but one is assuming it has now become a blanket 24/7 policy. Unfortunately games like Company of Heroes Online/ Rise of Flight and other MMO's require you to download the game as a torrent. And they download at snails pace.
But no I am not threatening to leave Mweb just stating real world realities. The uncapped service sux unless you have the money to use a site that circumvents Mwebs T & Cs So to them Mweb uncapped is heaven on earth to the rest of us it is a tool. The first price increase I dump it.![]()
Morning Blaze and Ibanez; are you guys still experiencing speed problems this morning?
Kind regards, MWEB ops
