I contacted Telkom and they have since done a port reset. Although I see I am now syncing even lower than before?

They refused to test for congestion as they inform me I am not a Telkom ISP user? Spoke to two different people. Tonight it is now far worse since they reset the port. Sigh

Your speed is in Kb his is in Mb. So his is 1075Kb (x1024).

Mine doesnt find any videos from my location (?) but the ISP score is 1.03. Not sure how they get different results for the same ISP each time.

Did you try another ISP, say prepaid, to test (Engen Axxess?). It would be interesting to know who is responsible for your troubles.

hi all, can someone please give me some feedback on how FTP downloads are during peek time? i.e. 7am-midnight? i am on a 4meg unncapped acount. thanks in advance

rapidshare etc is normally 60-100kbs per thread, with 4-5 running on non payed account , i can max line, even during the day.

MWEB does not have any ADSL products that utilize throttling.

MWEB offers shaped products that give high priority to the most commonly used internet Services and unshaped products for the more demanding power user and heavy downloaders.

7pm - 50 odd kbps - fine by me

11pm onwards - 150 odd kbps - fine by me

That I'm on a 4mg line and only get those speeds doesn't affect me. I pull what I need and it's for a good price. All my browsing, gaming and streaming works 99% of the time too.
