Evening everyone, One of our Seacom links is currently down, which is resulting in degraded international connectivity in the northern parts of the country. Our engineers are attending to the matter urgently.

@MWEBGUY

EVERYDAY THIS IS THE SAME NEWS, WHATS GOING ON????
YOU ASK US ABOUT OUR ACCOUNT DETAILS, AND SAY YOU WILL GET BACK TO US, AND THEN THE SAME STORY: OUR TECHS ARE HAVING A LOOK AT THE PROBLEM... AND WILL PROVIDE FEEDBACK.
BEEN HAPPENING SINCE LAST WEEK WITH MOST OF US HERE. ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE, SOMEHOW, THERES PEOPLE SAYING MWEB IS GREAT AND WHAT NOT, WHICH I SUSPECT THEM WORKING FOR MWEB I DONT KNOW.
BUT AS FAR AS THE SLOWNESS IN OUR UNCAPPED ACCOUNT GOES, WE LIKE TO KNOW WHATS HAPPENING...
TORRENTS AREA NO GO ON MWEB UNCAPPED, NEWSERVERS ARE STARTING TO BE PATHETIC(MWEB NNTP AS WELL AS PAID INT) BROWSING & EMAIL SLOW AS HELL, GAMING - WELL, I DONT GAME NO MORE BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES, SKYPE SLOW AS WELL... THINK I MIGHT HAVE SUMMED EVERYTHING UP THERE...

post sent out before seacom post above, but still answers have to be answered....
I know MwebGuy doing a good job on mybb forums, but I reckon we need more people like MG from mweb on mybb forums to deal with problems clients(us) are facing... I know its not their jobs, but yeh.

I suggest moving off seacom at your earliest convenience. Surely by now someone at mweb has realised this?

My Google.com pings have dropped from 350ms 20 mins ago down to about 50ms at 7:01pm. I am crossing my fingers and hoping the problem has been resolved.

PS, I love this forum - every time I experience some kind of connectivity issue, it's the first place I head to see if anyone else is having the same trouble. Thanks everyone!

Hi....having issues with my Mweb Uncapped too. I can currently not stream any video sites (www.gomtv.com and www.justin.tv).

Speed Tests to the UK shows atrocious speeds:

http://www.speedtest.net/result/1278206027.png

I have some streaming that is happening live now that I really wanted too watch :(

Evening demon, Are you only encountering a problem when streaming?

Any word on an all inclusive 1 meg option? I want to upgrade ;)

Evening burn, not as yet; we will let you know as soon as we have one though. :)
