Called their "Technical Support", was asked to try their server, and while I was on hold, "stuff" happened..... From 0 - 200 in less than 10 seconds!

Well I'm in the same boat, wouldn't you agree though that P2P with a higher upload ratio has a higher cost assosciation, therefore should be prioritized below NNTP?

On a side note other than News. Downloading games off the Playstation Network is at a crawl. I've pulled 50MB over the last hour.

Its not just NNTP and P2P tarffic that is being shapped. I get constant timeouts and disconnects from "certain" IP ranges using various protocol (HTTP, SSH etc) due to the "denial of service" shaping. I'm not against shaping but this is being done in poor taste.

Ya ya ya ya - we know that! :(

Feedback from "Technical Support" ...

There is a problem (really?) that they're now found and are working toward a resolution.... But don't know how long it'll take....

As I've said in an earlier post...I think it has something to do with the backbone.

Starting to think the same thing. If Mweb, Afrihost prepaid and Webafrica prepaid all use the same backbone ?

0 kb newserver downloads on all 3, plus zero streaming audio or video (youtube just sits and buffers, spotify says norraf0k).

It's like the web twighlight zone this week.

It would be nice if they acknowledged it!!

That is honestly what I want.

I remember the issues I had with Neotel - the Neotel rep forwarded me a e-mail where they actually acknowledged the problem does exist (via e-mail, to each other) but not publically.
If we don't say anything, nothing will happen - simple as that.

Mine is going at 60KB/s up/down. Better than yesterday but still not as good as in March.

What file? PM me if you like I just want to test the same specific file.
