Massive timeouts happened again from 6:30 to 6:45, ping shoots up to 450 with timeouts. Not my line, router or PC. So what happened between those times?
80kB is on a good day, usually down to 40kB daylight hours and picks up after 2am.
Regardless of port.

getting major lag spikes on games like battlefield bad company2 ,this has been happening for the last 2 weeks or so , connection also seems to drop randomly at least 3 times a day , my downloads dont complete , iam in the cape town area

Finally! I'm not going crazy! Mweb of course insist that "nothing has changed" but clearly we're being throttled. Is there anything out there that compares to Mweb or is that the best on offer for reasonably priced uncapped?
Dear Mweb, everyone in my wow guild is lagging who are on Mweb. Really now. WTF is going on ? I just put on WoW again, thought the issues with WoW were sorted. Here is my ping to jolt.co.uk.

See the timeouts? My line is fine, my router is fine. Log onto afrihost no timeouts. So it is your network. Explain this to me please, how can Mweb fail at every turn? Fix this now. Will and Mweb Guy, explain to me why this is happening now? I just got back into WoW and boom, unplayable.

I have the same issue for 2 weeks now, I am waiting patiently for Guy to sort this out. So far the technical help from their call centers are not very helpfull. This issue is going into its 3rd week now, its awesome to pay for a 4MB line just to be able to surf.... cannot even download anymore because if the pathetic shaping.

so you paying for a 4mb line that performs at 4mb for 4 hours a day(2am-6am)
something just doesnt seem right about that.but then ofcourse mweb have always had disgusting business principles and have always corn-holed their customers at every opportunity
who's up for some egg throwing at the mybb conference, imagine, so many viable targets in 1 area.

i get done 10gb+ day, i don't need more then data, as i hardly use all of it anyway.
and its 2-8am or sometimes 1-8am, did not really monitor it much, but i did queue 11gb of torrents the other night and was done when i wakeup, and i was awake just after 6.30.

yes, but please put in your signature that you live about 40cm from the mweb datacenter in cape town which uses sat-3 bandwidth. The rest of South African mweb customers want this as well without having to squat in your house.
Paying the same price for 2 different levels of service is awesome.

yes jhb have been pretty bad after the new shaper etc, almost seems like jhb does not have enough bandwidth, need wait for the new dbn ipc to come into play, and see if it makes a

hmmm couldnt connect from home this morning with my mweb... Is the service down in the JHB area??? Even called Telkom with them telling me there is no fault or suspension on my line either... Very weird...

U got the issue with wow too? The timeouts does not happen too often but they do and when they do you disconnect. Strange that Mweb are yet to reply to this. They always reply to issues that might not be on their network. If you make it clear that it can only be their network they take ages to respond. Off to facebook for me again. I find that if i make a public scene on free the web and mweb's pages the respond almost immediately.
