Filesonic is dead. Mweb is infringing on our right to free speech and access to information. They are deliberately blocking parts of the internet!

they have so many members that these protocols get so badly shape they might as well block it..lol

Persistent Steam connection issues

Using MWEB uncapped 4mbps, and I persistently struggle to get Steam to log in. Worse during business hours, but even after hours, it keeps coming back with Steam connection error. Clearing ClientRegistry doesn't help at all. Every now and then it manages to log in, but it's far from reliable. Any assistance, MwebGuy?

My steam also probimatic. I spoke to the gaming manager and he told me no one is complaining about speed issues and steam so ja he can't read...lol

Clearly. On the odd occasion that I do manage to log in, I get pretty good download speeds. But mostly it just flat out refuses. And it's far from an isolated incident, seems like it plagues a lot of people... hope they get to the bottom of it.

Well now it is actually trying to update. Previously it would try to update but stay at 0%. Now its at about 40% but going slow.

You must be my connection twin. Mine's also just agreed to update, currently at 66%. Prior to this, I've been getting connection errors all day.

Whenever there is an update, I have difficulty connecting it seems. I'm not sure if my steam thinks there is an update when there really isnt. Anyway, mine has now finished updating and has just signed in. Sigh, I should have been able to sign in 2 hours ago, then I could have been playing Deus Ex. Goodnight people.

Anyone else ever have this problem: Trying to send mail via outlook on port25. Mweb account, no love. Cannot reach the outgoing server. Switch to my cellphone. Works perfectly.
I switched off my router firewall completely, but that's not it. Appears to be Mweb blocking it. How bizarre, how bizarre.

yep that's normal, everyone were notified to change there port to , cant remember to what though.

they changed it a while ago for spam purposes .

Did Mweb upgrade there lines recently"

Ive got a 10meg line , but I am on a 4 meg shaped uncapped packaged from mweb and the maximum I could get on newsgroups was 431kbps (close maximum on a 4meg line) suddenly this morning I am getting 900+ kbps (close to the maximum for a 10meg line)?

I am just asking because the last thing I want is a notice that I am violating one or another term in the AUP due to a false detection or a error on there side,not that I would mind getting these speeds for a few weeks longer

International latency is quite high at the moment and the download speed quite a bit lower than usual.
Anyone know of any faults at the moment?

FYI: We do not upgrade Telkom exchanges.

Any word on what caused the Steam outage last night, and what seems to repeatedly cause it?

If Mweb can fix that, I'll cancel my cancellation. If you cant, end of this month I'm switching to Openweb.
