Ok so i just realised today that my telkom line rental is a 512 and my mweb account is on a 4mb, dumb i know, so is it worth to go for the all inclusive 4mb deal from mweb.

Yes, chalk and cheese, 512kbps vs 4mb....

Tonight is slow!!! Just browsing the web is a mission. My iphone does not even want to connect to SoundHound's db servers to ID a song for me. It goes 100% via 3G. Frustrating!!!!

And I did 57GB so far this month.

http transfers were flying for most of the day until 6pm..450 kb/s

now im stuck at 23 kb/s...

it was good while it lasted...11gb today!

There are definitely still some issues with stability tonight, i'll bet its related to the "International Down" notice posted earlier.

Have exactly the same problem. Speedtests shows as 1.50Mbps all the times whereas before it would show full speed

I finally got a reply today from a tekie at MWeb, he said to try download a file from Mikro$oft's site to test the speed, 420kBps! Although my Windows 7 Desktop only downloads at 125kBps max from that same site. WTF? IS Speed tests vary from 3 to 3.6Mbps line speed http://speedtest-rba.isdsl.net/, Windows 7 Desktop only gets 1648kbps WIN7 FTL!

At least the line is at least 3MB+! Whoot MWeb.

I had no downloads going, just browsing the web and it was dogslow. It turned out there was a problem upstream from MWEB. Next time you want to rag somebody, foremost, read their post, make sure you understand it and then only decide to post. Freaken n00bs!!!

If you look at a traffic chart for JINX, 23h30 is almost exactly when network usage falls to roughly 50% of average:

At 07h00 traffic is back to the level it was at 23h30, and P2P speeds will be reduced...

I know JINX is not the same as MWeb, but its the best publicly available traffic chart AFAIK.

Does anyone have any complaints about speed using 4 MB uncapped accounts from Mweb, especially on youtube ? am using open web and the speed on this account is terrible never get more than 0.40 on speed test

Youtube flies for me, I loccasionaly have to let some videos buffer for 5-10 seconds then i can watch it with no probs
