Having just moved a month ago to MWeb from Cybersmart, I tend to be fairly tolerant - Cybersmart set a rather low standard when it comes to customer service. Having said that, I do not agee with the "well you bought shaped and get what you deserve" argument. This weekends performance has been massively slower than the norm. In fact it has been signficantly worse than it is during normal working hours, which is when shaping should have the most impact.
The other thing is the lack of communication fro MWEB - I haven't received anything.
Ultimately however, we can just vote with our feet and move on. For me, this weekends performance is strike 1 against Mweb. The silly thing is it would only take open, honest communication and things would be a lot better.
The fact that this is over a wekend makes me suspect (note the word 'suspect') that this is some kind of planned maintenance gone wrong.
Still, hopefully this is not a regular occurence, or I'll be looking for another ISP soon.
