yep me too - I downloaded a vmware image for mac os x 10.6.3 trial run.

Been meaning to do it and 4mb line was maxing out.

my download rig is off at the moment, nothing I am interested in considering it has been running 24/7 this entire weekend.
 
at least with mweb steam maxes line speed, with IS it was like ble.
 
That's good to hear... I had to resort to AeroVPS.

I'm sitting on 210GB this month so far :D... Let's see if I can nail 500:D
 
Yeah, this weekend I was getting consistent 40KB/s on 384. I never got over 38KB/s since I got this account so I hope they keep this up.
 
also happy with my results this past few days. last month was horrible but this month is a def improvement.
torrents are going along pretty good but http seems to be slugish. i can't complain though cos i hardly use http.
overall it's going great.

I only use my 4mb MWEB uncapped after business hours and on weekends. I think they have always been great :) and I have always received good service from their call centre.

Personally I thing allot of the negative posts are from agents of the opposition :D:D:D

Ok, I'm having the s h i t s with Afrihost now.... New Policy is to forecast usage according to current usage. I downloaded 70 gigs in 11 days, now they throttled me to 512kbps (but at the moment I get 25kbps on anything). Plus its still shaped - not that I can do anything with 25kbps. So how does MWeb 4mb uncapped handle COD-MW2 with two people on the line?

Been running like this since friday, I have had enough.

Hi IRG

The 4mb uncapped service should be fine for two people playing a game such as Call of Duty at the same time, however we cannot provide you with any guarantees as to the latency you will get when connecting to your particular game server of choice. We would recommend that you try the service out and see for yourself, or perhaps check if there are any MWEB users within your gaming community and ask what their experience is like on the service.

Will do so, problem with COD-MW2 is iWnet. No dedicated servers, The host is determined by who has the best line speed. Afrihost has very good latencies, so I usually do not suffer from lag. Sub 100 ping is the norm on Afrihost (in my case at least). But will have to ask around for those who have used MWEB ...
 
I must say that performance has been TOP NOTCH the last week or so!!! GO MWEB!!! Whatever it is that you are doing / not doing .... please CARRY ON!!! oh....one more thing....dont mean to be greedy or anything....but how about not throttling them torrents so badly? ;) Not all torrents are illegal you know...
