Guess which one is local and less heavily shaped?

I guess it means I can drop to 384 mweb uncappedb for downloading at night , and get a prepaid account elsewhere for my 4mb browsing.. considering 4MB slower than 386.

Dunno about that, you sure there is no other problem? I had full speed on 512 Uncapped package using Astraweb last night. No problems at all.

The VPN has to have two endpoints to anchor the tunnel. The endpoints are easy to determine, as they are the two nodes handling all the traffic for the tunnel. Beyond the endpoints there's no way to know. However, if it terminates in a network block where such services are sold, then it's likely for downloading. Also, the amount of traffic through the tunnel can be measured very easily, even if you don't know what it is.

Local for local content is what I say, the rest you can grab from international private and public trackers.*203.73GB*so*far.

I got beyond 100kb/s on a 4mbps line - but my usage is close to 300GB so I am not complaining should they be throttling me as a high user - I have got my money's worth this month already. Thanks M-Web.

Been using Mweb Uncapped ADSL 384 for a month now, been an absolute pleasure. Obviously its not the best out there, but for the base line, its excellent value for money. Kudo's to mweb

Has anyone noticed that Mweb shaping has been a little more aggresive this week.. I notice my line rises to about 50 to 60k a second at 6pm and them remains at the speed the rest of the night, no more speed increase.. BEfore Seacom went down I use to get at least 200k a second in the early hours of the morning.. now same 50k...

I have a 4mb line and for the past three months my bandwidth usage has been 200gb, 154 gb, 144gb. It would be good if mweb could look at usage trends and develop packages for the various users. If you're downloading 30gb per month using a 4mb line on an unlimited package you should be looking for a different solution.
