Monday and half of sunday have been poor, not sure why. Saturday, was amazing, not sure why slow today. Hopefully will pickup.

Dude, for a unshaped account, you sure do have alot of patience. I would have greeted them with my "I want to speak to your managers managers managers managers directors" voice by now.

That's how I got my LG 42" Full HD TV for R5999. :D

Hi Kosmik

Please advise if your problems are still persisting?

Regards,
MWEBGuy

Been happening in the morning for a few minutes for me, happened at 19:19, I exited and got back in and it worked. Only started this morning

Everything gone to 5|-|17 again 2day...constant disconnections, slow everything...the usual from MWEB Monday service...

Odd dude, i never have a single issue with mweb. Wonder why some struggle while other live the internet dream.

Can I be honest, I have a feeling exchange congestion is become an issue... I am having Telkom look into it in my area. I bounce between 3.3MB and 1.1ish MB on different days and at different times irrelevant of which ISP I use.

yeah, i know.

how u get that price?

Also having trouble with news server, cannot connect. I'm wondering if it's not just that Mweb mirrors SAIX news server so now they've cut the peering it's actually cut the NS as well... Mweb Ops?

Bit off topic but anyway.

They gave me the wrong TV first (Plasma instead of HD) then they gave me a tv with no HDMI inputs... and by that time, after taking the TV's backwards and forwards, i was gatvol and made them give me the LG instead of the Sinotec at the same price. And deliver it. Regional manager said it's all good the salesman made a mess of it.

Also getting pathetic sub 50kbs speeds on well, well seeded torrents.

Still terrible speeds, less than 30kbs. This is supposed to be peak downloading time.

little bit slower than usual on my side aswell, torrents maxing out at 300kbs

Beginning of the month and getting a big fat 0KBs on nntp downloads...

Switched the router on & off, and suddenly am getting 280KBs, and then down to 130KBs

This tracert look ok to you guys?

Nope. Switching from Mweb to WA my Astraweb goes from 20 KBps to 300+.

HI Naks,

Please note that the traceroute is showing good speed.

Jah, but why am I only getting 100-130KBs when I am paying for a 4MBs line? And that is the best it's been in over a month, most of the time my NNTP downloads are sitting at 10-30KBs.

good luck with getting a straight answer to that - you'll usually get asked your details, and then it miraculously fixes itself for a week or two.

mweb such a waste of time and money, and certainly not "just like that"

very true hey!
I have several reference numbers with the same query! Spoke to 2 specialist and no one ccould sort me out. Normal browsing is so bad, not even their own site want to load immediately. This for a 4meg line. When i reported it the first time it was due to network migration, so i allowed to to finish the upgrade, in the hope that it will be sorted. Nothing was ever done to improve it.

When you seek technical support, the only thing they know is: switch off you modem, wait 5mins and see if the browsing gets better? wtf? my mother can tell me that! im getting very irritated with the support!

But wait for it! So my call was escalated, again, and it needed to be approved by the a "Supervisor", but while the techie explains my problems, part of it was why the slow torrent speeds... the supervisor blamed the slow browsing on the torrents... in anycase - in a very demeaning way - comes to a conclusion as to what exactly i am doing on my side... firstly, nothing else was open besides google chrome. the network issues had nothing to do with whether im downloading or surfing.. in anycase... when the techie asked about the torrent issues and why i can only ever get 5-10kb out of it, very arrogantly it was stated, start quote: "WE ARE NOT GONNA TOUCH THE SHAPING POLICY, THATS IT SAY THAT TO HIM... etc" end quote.

Now why am i paying for a service that im actually not getting firstly, secondly: before the network upgrades i was experiencing speed between 100-300kbs? surely something is wrong... but Nooooooo... we not touching anything to do with downloading issues..

So long story short, i was told to F@#% off nicely and to just take what we give you... and ask telkom to test your line because our network is fine...

Currently looking at other options because i dont have the time nor the energy to fight money guslers who politely deduct their money every month and in tune turn the other way when you experience network issues.

Telkom was here this morning to physically inspect and test the line, and found no fault. So now i have to fork out R400 for wasting their time... nice one mweb for insisting i log a fault with telkom.

Your just such waste of time, money and energy.

And do ask me for the reference numbers, cause i have all of them...

Mweb techies who answer the phone dont really know whats going on..

Two weeks back I phoned for slow speeds on P2P, they told me this is how its gonna be from now on... Last week it came magically right..

My browing flies,, and my p2p flies.
