Timeouts still happening. Mweb has done nothing.

Anyone else having this problem

Im on a 4meg line, using mweb and telkom as ISP

When i use my telkom account for NZB i have no problem at all, get full line speeds all the time
when using my mweb account it doesnt even connect - im using astraweb and alt.binz,

i know its not my settings as my telkom account works perfect just my mweb account thats the problem? is it just me or anyone else having issues, right now it doesnt even connect
i can ping and tracert to ssl.astraweb.com with no problems tho

does it work at nite time? sometimes they kill nntp at day time.

and have you tried a diffrent client like SAbnz for your downloads, with the mweb news server.

at night its not too bad, after 12 generally is better

no havent tried the mweb news server
 
would suggest mweb news server during the day for new content and then older content you download at night with your astraweb
 
im not sure so far as i know they kill nttp during if the network is busy, not sure as i am never during the day at home.
 
Is the time outs still happening, Im having problems connecting through team veiwer.

Good Afternoon SabreWolfy, please note that we do not have any reported outages at the moment. I noticed that your account is now showing a router connection, are you able to access the internet?
 
No, still down.

@MWEB: Still down. ADSL tries to sync, can't, tries again. If I lift the handset on the line I hear a strange buzzing sound with some squeaks, a bit like an old modem but not the same. I haven't changed anything, moved anything, added or subtracted anything. The line just went down a few hours ago. I've got an all-inclusive account, so please fix.

Thanks. The line seems to be connecting for a very short time, then disconnecting, the connecting again for a very short time, etc.
 
*Sigh* Ok, so now my line is back but throughput is all over the place. Standard HTTP downloads from a local mirror which have always cruised at line speed are now all over the place 20KB/s, 30KB/s, 35KB/s, seldom going anywhere near the constant 38.2KB/s I used to get. Ideas?
