You are completely missing the point. Performance improvement with a PSU?
A PSU is the backbone of your system,probably the most important part and i would never recommend skimping a little and saving a little cash for an inferior PSU. And yes it is inferior. Im sure its ok and it runs your components well but this is the one aspect where i will make sure of my decision if i were you.
If he was on an incredibly tight budget then i would say yeah go for the Isonic, but if he has a little extra money then i would def go for a better PSU.

If I had wanted to say that, that's what I would have said, however I DO have a brain!!

I stand by what I said: He will not notice the diff. between the more expensive and cheaper ram, and the PSU will serve him just as well for less.
That was my point, they ARE both good PSU's, whatever you may think.
I, however, actually have one (albeit the 500W) and can attest to it's quality.
Apparently the Isonic HAS tested REALLY well, and everyone that has one recommends them.

I know you never insinuated that a PSU will give a performance difference. It was just a funny thing to say in the first place
Give me a link to where the isonic has tested so well.? You are saying its brilliant etc etc because its running your components and has'nt blown up(and im not saying it will).

Ag, I'm tired of this now. Gouhan a reputable member of either Prophecy or System shock was running a big-ish system with the 500W, others say positive things about theirs in the 2-3 threads I have found.
If you look a page or two back, I posted a link to where one dude said it was tested in a Custom Pc mag type thing and scored 100%.
Otherwise if mine blows up or damages any components, I'll post the news as soon as it happens and you can gloat and "burn" me "real good"

The 2x 80mm are inaudible to me over my other case fans which I have modded to 7v, so are already whisper quiet, maybe if someone has ears of the wolf.

Some issues there MrE. I never said it was a bad or a crap PSU, i just said there are better ones. Which there are, you can argue until you are blue in the face. And if he is going for a higher end system then there are better PSU's for a bit more.Yip, I can confirm that.
