To those with ABS: how effective is it on wet road markings?
ABS still requires grip to work.
If there's no grip there's no stopping regardless of what tech you have.

Had a similar incident yesterday morning. Was filtering between the cars coming up to a robot, pedestrian crossing the road at a random point in the road runs between the cars, gets to my "lane" and stops dead. Deer in the headlights, eyes wide, look of sheer panic! (That was me) She just stood there looking at me.
Unfortunately, my ABS didn't kick in and I didn't have anywhere to go because I was between the cars....managed to stop in time luckily.

That's exactly what it felt like....and yesterday wasn't even supposed to be laundry dayreading this felt like sitting in the office, hearing the screeching tyres, waiting for the inevitable crash!...... and then nothing.

I picked up a frogger somewhere in 2014.
Rode a good few metres with him virtually on my lap.
Thought I had cracked the windscreen but not a scratch on the bike.
haven't tested/experienced it yet.... wouldn't want to either to be honest
At the rate you're going you'll be able to tell me by the end of this summer![]()
Think you must do an actual fuel economy. As in when you fill up see how many kms you did vs how many litres. My bikes have always been optimistic with the fuel economy on the dashboard. Would be interesting to see how the Honda does.
What app is that?
Nice, what app is that?![]()
No long distance at all. Pure Sandton...
Shut your whore mouth!
Yesterday riding to Honda, I took the long way around, getting on the M1 at Glen Hove, driving north towards Buccleuch Interchange, swap over to N3 South, at gillooly interchange I go East on the N12, and get off at Rondebult rd at Boksburg. 43km round trip. When I got on the highway, my bike was telling me I was doing 4.3L/100KM. When I stopped at Honda, I had a numb arse and was doing 3.9L/100KM.
Had to shake the legs a bit when I got off to get the pins and needles out of the bumski![]()
Get up on the pegs after every 10 minutes. Just for a few seconds. Always helps me. Yes... You look like a chop doing your worst a Dakar Rally Raid impersonation in the traffic. But it helps and makes the ride more comfortable.
