So when I started riding a friend warned me about keeping my face and helmet clean to prevent getting pimples and such things, I've been paying extra attention to my face and yet in the 3 weeks I've had the bike I'm getting my 3rd pimple. That can't be a coincidence.

Thing is I ride so little. I basically only get chance on the weekend and even then it's not really that much. No road trips and such.

So any advice, do you guys do anything extra to help, or am I alone in this?

Nah, I don't get that. I try keep the helmet clean, strip the inners and wash them occasionally. On Dirt sections I use a buff over my head, just exposing a small area around my eyes. On Road, the buff goes round my neck. Makes a nice seal below the chin.

Never been an issue... Clean my visor maybe once a month (or after rain) and have not once washed my liners in 3 years :p But I do wear a buff all the time

Can't say I've ever cleaned a helmet in my life as my previous ones didn't have removable padding and with the new one I haven bothered.

Is this happening on areas that make contact? Does your helmet fit properly?

Maybe you need to ride more?

2 of them on cheeks one on either side 1 though on my chin where there's no contact. the helmet fits very snug but not overly tight.

i try to ride as much as i can, but i can't use the bike to go to work since i have to carry equipment. and i get home too late to go riding just for the heck of it. so weekends are really my only option, i don't have friends with bikes so nothing really pushing me to ride all the time.

Probably unrelated then.

I do nothing but use a basic face wash from Nivea for Men or recently Vaseline.

Couple of pages back. Long story short:

RC has racing posture. Buy Duke instead if you're going to commute longer distances (or want a prettier bike :whistling: )

And don't bother with a 125cc.

Unless you want to be license limited and struggling in traffic.

Inside man. Inside.

Once in a blue moon I'll leave some cotton wool dipped in tea tree oil inside overnight.

I use one of those Oxford balaclavas. Look like a freaking ninja and my wife makes fun of me but whatever. I don't want hair product and sweat in my new Shoei.

I have not washed the inners of my helmet yet. but I do wear a buff. but that for different reasons. I ride with my aftershokz blues two under my hair that is loose wiht the buff covering my neck and cheeks to keep the hair down.

for those who don't know my hair is long. like longer than you think it is.

I dont get many pimples and most of the time they are ingrowns from shaving rather than anything else.

oh and a really cool thing. after I rebuilt my carbs.
I know I can get a max of 142 km on my tiny little tank. so I have started filling up every 100 km because I got tired of running out of petrol.
for the last couple of weeks this has meant I need to fill up every second day,and I then put in about 9 Liters.

This morning was the second time i filled up after I rebuilt the carbs.
and even though I have done the normal 100 km I only fit 7 liters. so I basically improved my fuel efficiency by 2 liters per 100 km

Cool, I haven't tested my tank capacity out yet, I don't really know how far I can go on reserve, the trip computer stops telling me range when I hit reserve.
