I am looking for a App I can use to measure my bike's 0-100km'h speed. Can Anyone advise of something suitable?

Tried a few, without much success. :/

All the apps I have seen use GPS to do the speed tracking, which is fine for everything except for short time periods. The update on a normal cellphone GPS is not very fast, maybe once or twice a second, which means at the very best it's going to be half a second off.

I plan on using my helmet cam, shooting at 60fps, and pointing slightly down to see the speedometer more clearly.

I can then do some runs (on my closed off private road of course) and get a fairly accurate time replaying the video.

I'll first also check the speedometer against gps to see how far it's out at 100, that way I'll be able to get 0-100 gps, using the sensitivity of the speedometer.

Read the reviews for your bike's time.

Use a proper logger device to get your own time. :)

The video idea above is probably closest bet.

Lol @ corn.

Yes but so far it has mostly pissed me off.

Especially today when it wasted a good had an hour to forty five minutes detouring me around roadworks to a then also closed road.

It seems very clunky, slow and cumbersome. I can't help but thing a smartphone is so much more useful except for the gloved factor which my Lumia could do as well.

But it hasn't been updated, so once I get home it might be a different story.

aaaahok let me know once you have updated it how it goes as i did not get one but am thinking of it.
How is the integration with the bikes engine and bike info? Does your bike also have the GPS toggle wheel on the left hand grip like the GS?

Yeah has the same toggle wheel and My Motorcycle info.

The stats are cool and all but not really useful in any meaningful way.

In other news. Ride with Norman Reedus is better than new Top Gear and more about bikes.

Tell me more about that show. It is a "reality" show with him about bikes?

It's very similar to Top Gear in the road trip sense but a lot more down to earth and less scripted.

Only one episode out so far.

It's a travel show with him and friends on or around bikes.

I am shocked at how old he is. Thought he was only slightly older than I am.

so on thursday I removed, stripped cleaned and reinstalled my carbs.

not really a big whoop for most people but for me that was a pretty big deal. I am not really a very hands on kinda guy so doing that myself was a real game changer.

now I just need to find a new speedo unit. the tension spring inside mine died on tuesday while on the highway.

Great! That's way to hardcore for me.
