Over pants is the way to go. Use them mon-thu and then Fri the jeans
I use them when I do long distance, but visiting a friend etc I'd like the jeans.

And before anyone lectures me yes I understand an accident can happen anytime anywhere. But I need to be comfortable when I go out, and as Mr SauronZA said I don't really want to look like an astronaut.

Any idea what the cost of the jeans generally are?

Jissis prices have gone up then.

It used to be about a grand.

It's one thing where I compromise and often specially in summer...riding with jeans.

This even after taking the skin completely off one knee.

It's partly a money thing but mostly before I've never found any of their pants to be all day comfortable.

Maybe I'll try the Easy Overs this summer.

Yeah that's a bit steep, it better be some nice jeans. But I have to wait a while before I can afford them, I also want to do my exhaust.

X-Kulcha Jeans not as much as R1900 ... maybe R1300? The Dakar pants are more though.

On other things.... Did an awesome ride this long weekend, Durban to Coffee Bay and back .... 1022km.

Apart from OLX & Gumtree, are there any other classifieds with decent 2nd hand bikes worth keeping an eye on?

I feel the same. Eventually got easy overs on sale at one of the Full Throttle clearance stores.

Links?

I belong to a few "buy and sell groups" but haven't seen any motorbikes being sold. Can you recommend a few?
I don't know a specific one dedicated to bikes etc. I have seen one or two bikes advertised in them over time and by their nature you could possibly post a request asking for a bike in a price range.

If I do see one I will post the link.

Are the denims comfortable though? I'll probably get the x-kulcha ones but I need comfort, if I ride to Jhb and spend the day with some mates or a prospective SO I'd like to be comfy.
