I lock the steering ... makes it a bit more difficult to move.
but if they want to steal it, they will...

cable kinda lock, lock the bike to a pole or structure?

All this does is stops a thief from pushing the bike to a location away from sight, and then loading it onto a bakkie.

It will probably deter the opportunistic thief, but thats about it.

Better than nothing. If there's two identical scoots parked next to each other and one has and the other hasn't - guess which one is being taken.

Insurance is my answer to that problem.

Locks will probably cause me to create a claim.
 
I can lock the steering and and make use of an actual lock, but the msx is so tiny and light that it probably won't make a difference. A big enough guy can probably pick it up if he wants to :wtf:

I understand that.

but shopping and going to a mall are different things. I HATE malls.
and walking around a mall and in bike gear it gets even worse.

Now I get what you saying, agree 100%.

Not going to a place of shopping > Shopping Center (with Free parking) > Shopping Mall
 
Guys, Im looking for an extended warranty for my motorcycle, something that will cover me in the case of mechanical breakdown.

I know you get quite a few options when it comes to cars, does anyone have any experience with warranties for bikes?

Recommendations who to use, who to stay clear of?
 
Actually have no idea but would look into it when my warranty expires.

I know Wesbank offered me one with my finance but that would be silly for a bike that still has factory warranty.
 
I'm actually looking at this for my car. Not sure about motorcycles, but it seems like a car must still be under factory warranty to qualify

Most car warranties have a requirement that the car needs less than 200 000km, or less than 10 years old (example). I would assume motorcycle warranty would be the same?
