What SA bike forums are you guys a part of?

i just registered at ThinkBike, then got banned about a minute later. No reason given and the ban is never to be lifted apparently. :crylaugh:

That's what you get for trying to post in the new members forum :wtf:

I've given up and pretty much steer clear of bike specific forums.

I've found more genuine bike people here and on SAGamer than the wannabes elsewhere.

Wild Dogs is also cool but I'm not an off-road guy so don't post there much.

And I'm of the old BikeSA guard that started Think Bike and later ZA Bikers so I've been around the block.

Suggestion for a place to take a bike for a Roadworthy?

Is Dekra any good?
(Northern Suburbs)

Dekra is fine, you'll probably get away with a lot there since they are not too familiar with bikes. Not speaking from experience of course for the two bikes I've had roadworthied

get there early enough and you will be done in 30minutes. Yes, Lights, brakes, hooter and you will be done. Also depending on the inspector, he/she may ride the bike a short distance

protip for anyone that rides an NC or thinking about riding one

When you get bored and decide to ride it in manual, remember when you spot a gap and gun it, that you are still in manual.... and the bike is not braking by itself when hitting the rev limiter.

Coming up 11th March

^Talking about KTM, I bought myself a new bike, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Did some research before and found that it has the same engine in as the KTM Duke 200. On further investigation, I found that Bajaj owns half of KTM and produces a lot of their engines. Very interresting.

Not a problem, we're heading closer to the weekend, it's more applicable than when I posted it

I had such an awesome day at the BMW academy at zwartkops today. Highly recommend it.

Going onto 2nd weekend working in Lagos (hot and bloody humid Lagos) and missing the BKing soemthing fierce.

There are a few motorbikes here, but they are insane to ride in this traffic, although I think it is illegal to take a bike onto the motorway. Oddly enough it might be safer to ride here, provided you stay out of peak hours. Drivers in lagos pay far more attention to their surroundings than back in SA. They have to, if you are not watching everything around you, you will have an accident, guaranteed.
