Can you switch off that slipper clutch or quickshifter or electronic suspension?
Aids are great they are the future I just don't want to be robbed of the authentic experience.
I now know how to handle a sliding bike through experience, something I wouldn't know anything about if I jumped straight onto a high end bike.
Slipper clutch/Quick shifter and Electronic suspension doesn't count as safety aids do they? Not that I have any of those. I've got ABS and TC. Kind electronic suspension.
You don't need to use a quick shifter either, not sure that you can do anything about a slipper clutch.
I've taken a turn on a wet piece of tar a bit too quickly and felt the TC step in. Seeing as there was moving vehicles in the oncoming lane, I was quite happy. Same with ABS - had to brake suddenly and felt the pulses.
Not saying either of these incidents would've wrecked me necessarily. And I've ridden with the ABS off, although that was when I thought it was broken, but in incidents where you need to react suddenly, I'm quite happy to have the computer there to help.
I'll switch these things off when practicing or venturing off road or whatever.
