There's always www.techcentral.co.za and www.htxt.co.za

hypertext removed their comments section . They also had a Vanilla forum at some point but it didn't go anywhere. They refused to incorporate Disqus, not sure why ,and settled for no commenting at all.

Techcentral is not much better or worse than MyBB News.

hypertext claim they do "welcomes comments". Are you saying this is not so now?

The problem is mainly with trolls and users who simply come in to make some silly, usually negative, remark. These comments are of no value and harms discussions rather than improve them.

Not sure how the above differs from similar remarks to article on the forum. People often make meaningless, silly and troll comments to articles on the main forum

It's not as easy as the old way to comment...

Going by the lack of responses from mybb in here I don't think they particularly care much tbh. Thread is now just a bunch of people complaining into the void.

I have not accessed the sites for a long time. I don't like Disqus at all. So that would mean no access for me, because it looks like techcentral only allows access vis Disqus ..... too bad ........
