Nero Replacement

I've used it for quite awhile. Since upgrading my OS to Win7 I've not installed or upgraded Nero to a Win7 version. To be honest, I'd like to try something different. Nero seems a bit of a resource hog, and seems quite large. Has a lot of extra rubbish I never use. I need software to burn the occasional Audio CD, or backup home vids to dvd. I already have ConvertX to DVD for dvd making, and am quite happy with that. Any recommendations?

It has become bloatware. My favourite burning app is a Linux one called K3B

Do folks still burn stuff? Surely the DVD writable is all but redundant?

Agreed, but I still use a older version so it's not that bad.

I remember using a program YONKS back called easy cd creator or something... lol!

A Combination of CDBurnerXP and IMGBurn is all you need! Two fantastic free programs.

Threw NEro and Roxio into the bin and havent looked back...

Me too! I've been using Nero for ages and just can't let go.

*The Nero online shop is selling Nero Burning Rom 10 for R342. I would not go near the multimedia suite, pure bloatware in my opinion.
