New Webafrica Network Migration

The best I can watch on twitch is at 360p, it is going down to 160p at times. The network is piss poor this evening. Local traffic seems fine.

Hmm, switched to a different ISP where it was fine, switched back to Webafrica after seeing your response and it is 100% again.

Webafrica capped account on Openserve 200Mbps line.

Local is fine. Nice and fast low latency. International is bad though. Interesting that afrihost network features in the trace route

Hi, Thanks for responding. I don't see them on Vuma's page. They are listed as an ISP, but no packages. I do not want to go to Telkom. Does Cool Ideas have their own news server ?
I think CI are using IS now, so IS news should work afaik.

Phoning WebAfrica is quite painful, on hold for 30+ minutes, also 30+ minutes of irritating "Did you Know" :'(

Has anyone else had issues with streaming DSTV Now or Netflix on WA? I seem to sometimes just "lose" the connection. Like it looks like it's just buffering a bit but it never recovers, but if you stop and restart it's fine. Never had this issue on Vox.
100Mb OpenServe line, WA Uncapped Pro vs Vox Fatpipe.

I in fact had this *just* happen to me. So yes, it's happening here too.

Sorry, this change is just trash right now.

My connection's been running like pure ass these last few days. My backup ISP runs buttery smooth though, no lag at all. We'll see if it's improved by the end of the week or I'm outta here. Can get better deals elsewhere anyway.

I have been streaming DSTV Now for the past few nights, and it is running for at least 3 hours without buffering.

However I do at times have a different issue, where the dstv now app refuse to stream, even if you choose any other stream. Only way to fix it, is to restart the android player, but this could be specific to the device.

In Johannesburg by chance?

These speed tests that pick Bloemfontein as the closest location concern me. Still get good results on Speedtest but it just sounds like maybe there's some CDN/peering/routing issue.
