No Data connection but full signal

I'm not. Anymore. I had them for several months but then I cancelled the contract and now I have a prepaid sim that works perfectly at high speeds
Hi CellC Rep. I'm really grateful that u took it upon yourself to find a solution. You even logged a network call ref number: 1785748. I was told that the networks team will investigate further.
Its now been 6 days since my last ref number & yet nothing. Lets be honest here, what are the networks team really investigating. The way i see it, they are doing absolutely nothing & give a s**t.
Its now been 13 weeks of useless unusable internet.
Seriously, What are they investigating ? Could they possibly be investigating a " Paranormal Activity "

My Cell C internet connection has been working really well.

I bought 200G package 3 months ago and I only managed to use 8G so far. I also have full signal but connection is very slow, CellC speed test shows 0.11M download speed with 459 ms ping time, although I always get full-signal strength, sometimes it is so slow that I don't get any download speed reading at all. CellC wth?
Just capped my first 2gb Whoosh SIM since the beginning of this month. Over to the second one.
Speeds are not exactly flying, but for browsing, email and background smartphone cloud syncing it is working fine for me.

Cell C sucks.
Me and the girlfriend both have iPhone 5's, and sitting next to each other doing a speedtest she gets 4Mb/s and mine tops out at 1MB/s. Mine almost seems throttled since you can see it wants to go higher and then gets pushed back down again. That is if I get data. More often than not she's got a full data access and mine just sits there timing out.
My iPad has a Cell C LTE sim in (since I don't always use the dongle) and it never gets any data.
Don't think that Cell C will ever fix this though, they still got their subscribers. This is just AKC doing what he does best and that is raping the SA consumer.

After 2.5 years of good Cell C HSPA+, I now ditched it for ADSL, could not handle it any more. My days of cheap internet is over.
I think it's safe to assume that Cell C won't be fixing this anytime. I'm already recommending friends and family to rather go with MTN and Vodacom. Their data bundles are bigger now so you shouldn't get eaten by their OOB sharks for normal usage.
mmmmm been on WIFI at the office all day. Just got into my home suburb and things are crawling on Cell C. Speedtest confirms: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2699573543.png

flashsa, you are lucky to even get to speedtest !! mine crawling at 8 to 10 kbps in Gonubie
Also in Gonubie. Cell C is also crawling for me and I couldn't even load mybroadband..... got irritated and stuck my 8ta sim into my wifi router and all is well again...... I wonder if they are working on our tower?!

Nope won't make a difference. Roaming data settings only make a difference overseas, here if you go from Cell C and roam on Vodacom the phone pest see it as roaming as they allow that. You just get edge on Vodacom.

I was using CellC's old speedstick to get connected when I reported the problem above. When I went to CellC shop to demand my money back, they suggested that I must try to uninstall the software then install it back and/or try using other 3G stick! I had old Vodacom E1752 USB stick, when I tried it, it worked! Although I am only getting maximum of 3M speed, at least I don't need to spend another R1800 as I was planning to get 8ta's 60+60 deal. I am happy!

Nothing that I do makes Cell C data work, have tried everything.
Used to be very good here in Illovo, Joburg, now just nothing (but still good reception).
