Well - it'd avoid a similiar backlash ... if you're 'in testing' - involve your 'test subjects' in the process...
Very true.... especially because it's in testing and lots of changes have been (and will still) occur.

It actually stops becoming about WHAT they download but
more about HOW MUCH they can download.
Another benefit of your honesty is that most excessive users will leave, increasing the quality of the experience for everyone else.
That is what ultimately will happen.. it will just take a few months to get to that level...
I unfortunately can use more than 60GB in a month without even touching torrents or newsgroups... Doing SQL reporting and testing and stuff chews through bandwidth... and having a vaguely smart house also doesn't help the bandwidth usage.
IMO it does. What's your Youtube going to be like on 128kbps?
I do not think any other ISP on this forum has taken so much time to give a detailed explanation...
.
If you use the account as the AUP is laid out (No unattended usaged) then I doubt you will experince throttling to 128kbs.
MWEB has been involved for days, and is still responding to questions...or don't they count?
True, but that all depends on your usage patterns. I dont see myself being throttled to 128kbs so I dont see a problem... The uncapped accounts are meant for users who dont want to worry about an inflated bill at the end of the month, so browse, youtube and steam as much as you want just dont B*tch when your movie and series downloads get you throttled...
