at about 3am was running at 450kB/s this morning

Most things are working very well for me, but single thread downloads still seem to be an issues.
It seems as soon as it is over 25MB it is borked.
I tried to download Fujitsu laptop drivers the other day. It was about 5 or 6 drivers in a basket. It came to 25MB. It never passed the 22MB mark. The download would then stop and no further communication with the server.
I tried 7 times. It was also relatively slow.
It indicated 8 minutes to download 25MB.
Switched to back up account and came down at line speed and took about 2 minutes or less.

A simple skype update of 50MB took so long it at 15KB/s it timed out with 2 min to go.

Yeah, trying to download and install avast antivirus...not a huge download. Being going for an hour already and the progress is only about 10%

Yeah and twitch.tv is unwatchable again. Had to use the 3rd party workaround again last night

What workaround is this? A different ISP?
And again tonight twitch is buffering ffs >.<

Install that then open a command prompt and paste in:
livestreamer twitch.tv/towelliee high --hls-segment-threads=10 --hds-segment-threads=10 --hls-live-edge 10 --hds-live-edge 10
Where in this case "towelliee" is the name of the stream I want to watch and "high" is the quality I want to watch in. All you get is the video and sound though, no chat etc.

I take no credit for it. I can't remember who it was, but a few months ago somebody in this very thread said how to do it.
