Noticing definite improvement in the performance of my account today. Dare I ask if the IPC upgrade has gone through, or has everyone in CPT switched off their PC's for the weekend?
Also saw a vast improvement during the night.

Paul, any feedback on why I'm being routed through CPT still? You said you should have some feedback today.

I am a HUGE CW fan, but I need some assistance on a matter and I am hoping that you can assist. I am currently trying to interact with your Techies on this issue, but I thought to post this as well to see if I can get some forum feedback as it's been bugging me for a while now. ..... When I moved to my home in Big Bay, my ADSL speed was always 8 1/2 mb. Constantly on all speed testing for 1 1/2 years. Then Telkom changed their syncing to the computer based sync system and my speed went down to a constant 6 1/2 mb for the last 6 or so months. Now, my question is simple. I have moved my line over to you guys. Can you change my sync back to the higher speed ? My line can handle it without issue, and it would be appreciated as it doesn't make sense as to why it was dropped by 2mb anyway.

Thoughts ?

No they can't as I understand it. That functionality has been removed from ISPs.

However you can request that the ASSISA or however you spell that damn system's name is switched off I believe. I've read about other people requesting that and having it happen.

Apparently it's the ASSIA system.. ;) ..... well, they can stick it up their ASSIAs and give me back my 2mb ! ;)

CW Line Techies just replied with this:

"You cannot have the assia system switched off on your line, We can however pull strings at telkom and get them to increase your sync speed"

Let's hope that this can indeed happen for me ! :D I will update once I have more info on this ! :D

Excellent!

Download performance has gone back to pre-whatever-happened-this-morning levels, but otherwise the account is pretty responsive.
