Anyone else think the portal smacks of Android L AKA the Material theme/look?

EDIT: Had an idea - what about a CW Android app. Think of it like FNB's app but for ADSL. Port resets on the fly :D
 
To those who reported issues, you may now reboot your modem and reconnect, and things should be vastly better.
 
Just rebooted my router...wow quite a difference - I hope this lasts a while.

Never mind, it crumbled and now am only getting 100kb/s on my 10m account so looks like the performance is now worse - was at least getting a contant 4m during the day. Why so slow after the fix? (nntp)

NNTP is now completely dead, not working on either CW news server or my tweaknews account. Looks like you guys broke something now.
 
To understand the exchange issue a little better, here is how it works in simplistic terms:

Your line______________Exchange____________IPC_____________ISP Network____________Internet

....................

Only bad part is when the Telkom "expert" is so arrogant to tell you there is nothing we can do for you because you are not with Telkom Internet - F-off we don't care about your or your issue.
 
Customers may now log into the very first version of the Crystal Web Customer Portal. Please do bear in mind that this is still very much a work in progress, and has taken considerable work to build behind the scenes on the back-end.

You can access the new customer portal here: https://portal.crystalweb.co.za

Username: your registered email address
Password: your ADSL password

If you have troubles logging in, please contact support and they can immediately fix this for you.

What you can now do in the customer portal:

View your ADSL accounts
Check usage, and see the time of the usage
View your current IP address
Self support your ADSL connection with port resets (only available on DSL lines migrated to us), view all sessions on your account (including usage, reasons for disconnections, IP addresses, telephone numbers, and even some Telkom info there), temporarily unlock your account to use at another location or if you have authentication troubles, add Dynamic DNS to your account (please be aware of any security risks this may pose, and take note of the address when it is provided), and interrogate your ADSL line with direct stats from your exchange.
View and download all invoices

There is so much more coming to this portal over the coming days and weeks, including cleaning up the user interface, displaying certain things even better, adding new functionality, adding support functions into the portal, and finishing up the dashboard which will be incredible, plus much more.

If you come across any bugs, please send them to [email protected] with the word BUG in the subject line, and we will address it.

Known issues:

Some of you may see an incorrect subscription for your account in the portal - this is not a bug, but rather ad admin error which we will be resolving. It will not affect your invoices.
Some of you may also see duplicate ADSL lines if you have migrated your line to us. This too is not a bug, but rather a remnant of the testing we performed before release of this beta-version of DSL line functions, so as to ensure that we did not test on live accounts. This is another admin aspect we will be resolving.
The self support functions display in a black box and can be a little difficult to interpret at times if you're not as technically skilled as our support staff. :D This is not a bug, and is just a UI change that will be deployed over the coming days.

You can expect to see numerous changes, additions, and features implemented over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned.

NNTP running perfectly on this end here now. Can you give SABNZBD a restart or confirm that you have a successful connection to the news server in the NNTP client you're using?

I restarted the router again now and NNTP is now running between 350 and 800kb/s - very erratic. Server connections to both tweaknews and CW looks fine. Did a force disconnect and reconnected everything again as well. Will keep an eye on it.

Back down to 45kb/s and looks like it's staying there.

That's some freaky ***** there - linespeed looks awesome, NNTP, not so much.

Has NNTP been full speed in the past ?

Monitoring this thread in the hope that this gets sorted and I can try CW out at the end of the month.

NNTP is running full speed ahead here now.
