Thanks. I have a Samsung smart TV, so I'll try both suggestions. For the record, the Hulu app on the Samsung TV is pathetic compared to the Roku, when it comes to the actual streaming.

In terms of quality or functionality?

I quite like the simplicity of it, and it streams in great quality in our testing now. Will continue optimising this one though.

In terms of buffering. The Samsung app buffers far far more frequently than the Roku app, and it is an F8000 which is quite a high spec (quad core).

In general, the quality of the Samsung smarthub apps is less than pathetic.

Always end up back on my AppleTV, way more consistent.
 
Anyone else having a prob with the news server? I just had another file fail, requiring repairs which is not working. 7gigs. Starting to get irritating now. This happens almost every day.
 
So far Hulu looks good! Can't get the Roku to show bitrate settings, but looks better and no buffering :)

Yes Hulu+ is definitely better. It buffered twice in 30 minutes as opposed to every 2 minutes previously.
 
Anyone else having a prob with the news server? I just had another file fail, requiring repairs which is not working. 7gigs. Starting to get irritating now. This happens almost every day.

The data corruption from last week was sorted out - any new issues with failed downloads will in all likelihood be as a result of legitimate DMCA takedown notices for which no news server is immune. If however you're having consistent failed downloads, contact support and send us a log and we'll see if we can pick anything up for you that may be causing it on our side.
 
Everyone on IS and TI disconnected from my CS match just now.... 3 From WC and 4 from GA.
Anything up Mr Internet man?

Not sure I can answer about IS and TI disconnecting. I have no insight into their networks. The upgrades are in process and its possible that peering went down but that seems unlikely as you remained connected and not the other way around.

just happened again

I lost 2 guys in a racing lobby (GT6) Ps3.
I know the one guy uses TI, can't recall the ISp for the other guy.

They dc'd in that time frame.
Both are in the Gauteng area afik.
 
Both my mweb and crystal web connections are dead here in Gauteng. Modem syncs but can't connect to either isp :(
 
I really do hope this link/failure gets fixed so we wont have contention anymore.
12.32am and running half line speed.

Power cycle? I know it's a common suggestion but a good one at the end of the day for many problems.

I'm not seeing any Telkom outage notices for your area at all and no core network outages on their network right now in the primary points of presence. And our upgrade is specific to our network so won't affect other ISP accounts.

Same problem here. My CW account wont connect. Will contact support real quick.
