It's possible that there are other Telkom upgrades happening where notices are delayed. They are upgrading their access network infrastructure right now too, and it may be a cause. I'll only be able to confirm once we receive the official notices though.

If it's happening across ISP accounts then it's related to the Telkom core network.
 
Just received a few network notices from Telkom right now about downtime in Gauteng as they cut over to new tech on their access network. Usually the notice states 5 hours to fix, but in my experience it can take as little as 2 hours. It's not so far (according to the network notices) affecting all Gauteng users.

Just a note: after Telkom perform this sort of maintenance, some customers may be affected by what appears to be exchange congestion. We experienced it yesterday, as did a few other customers. Report the fault, and Telkom will sort it out. They are on high alert for faults relating to these upgrades.
 
Ok this is odd, I KNOW my 3GB is gone with Mtn Uncapped and I know I have been getting 30KB/s max during the day, but currently after 12am downloading via Steam at 1MB/s. Do they unthrottle after 12am?

CW account is still not performing, I have unfortunately reached the end of my line and will be cancelling today.
 
Why not wait until the 18th as that would be after the "fix"?

I've been with them for almost 6 months now.
Upgraded to 20Mb hoping for better performance as well.
The one time when this account really performed was when I initially signed up.
CW did "upgrades" and everything has gone to **** for me.

I have been paying a premium only to have to go buy Afrihost or Vox data each month.

Fixes have been promised every time but I have seen 0 improvement.
I have more issues but really, I don't feel like getting into them here.

I've heard this same promise before.
When was the last "upgrade"?
Did it work?

I'll just keep paying and hoping for a solution?
I was ready to cancel 2 months back but was promised a fix.
Hulu is supposed to be fixed isn't it?
Nope.

20Mb that can't stream HD?
I don't see why I should be patient anymore.
 
CW been great to perfect except the past few days. Must be that debbin-location that is causing Electric to lag...

I'm in PE.
My line has been carp for months.
CW are fully aware of it.

Maybe I should power cycle my router.
 
News server network update:

Our news server upstream provider has indicated that they have picked up on corruption in some articles and are in the process of fixing them. Any failed downloads will need to be retried once we have confirmation that the data corruption has been resolved.
