Honourable Chair, Telkom is the greatest thief of bandwidth in the world!

I'm still struggling to decide if I must cancel my CW account this month. Not because I don't like them, they are awesome. Moving in Jan and a extra R1000 can go a long way. BUT I also made my 10 year old daughter used to Netflix. Argh decisions.

The people of mybb know very well that Telkom is a thief of bandwidth. They are a criminal. They are a thief of bandwidth. I'm not going to withdraw. I'm not going to go. I must finish my speech first. They are a thief of bandwidth. Honourable Chair, I want to finish my speech.

nntp was going at 420KB\s, thinking "WTH, the network is fixed" - then my AH 1GB free account got capped and the dial-up dropped just as the last thread was almost finished.

Please process that fix ASAP? I need my interwebs back like it was before.

My account preformed great over the weekend so far, including streaming the rugby via SS.
On a 4Mbps line though.

my account is stuck at 85Kb/s download
2% packetloss
160ms local ping...

if monday comes and there is no improvement I am sad to say but I will be gone...

Current issues only affect downloads. What you're experiencing is in all likelihood not related to slow download issues. Can you pm me a pathping quick?

DJ... would this affect MMO's? I am unable to play STO at all.... latency sits at 1780ms. This morning was fine though.

Shouldn't affect latencies at the moment. Only thing happening right now are massive Telkom upgrades of their access network around the country which could play a part...

Thanks. Time to watch a movie/Aus-Fra match then, I'd say.

Evening all,

Just wanted to pick your brains quickly. I recently upgraded my router to an Asus AC68U, the first router I've ever had that has had CRC readout. Unfortunately I've been getting an inordinate amount of CRC errors, generally around 200 per minute and about 18,000 over a 2 hour window. I've been in touch with Asus, and have tried multiple modulation types, tweaks and firmwares, but the high number of CRC numbers remain. Could this be due to poor line quality? If so, is it even a possibility to call up Telkom and report a line fault due to high CRC errors?

I haven't been able to use my old Billion to see if the CRC problem is related in particular to the router, as the Billion doesn't report on this, however, between using the two routers there is no discernible difference in internet performance and line stability; I don't get any drop outs on either router.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Could this severe number of CRC errors be representative of a line fault?

Thanks everyone :)

I am also lagging. Getting spikes but thats maybe because of my crappy congested exchange.

My wife reported the same to me, on her tab, while I was still sleeping. :(
