Already did that. It's the first thing I did.
I dont ever see packet loss between my home and the exchange and I cant comment on whether its normal to have 0.5% packet loss. My guess is that it isn't normal though as losing packets between your house and the exchange will only cause more packet loss along the rest of your route.
I'm running a pathping to snthostings.com to get a comparison between your packetloss and mine.
CW I would like an answer as to when we will be getting what we paid for. We were promised that these issues would not continue into this month...it has and it has even been getting worse. Dial-up is faster than this...I mean really 4kb/s on NNTP?
I'll download WinMTR and try again later. My son keeps discconecting my Teamviewer session so I cant even see what the pathping results look like LOL

Why would packet loss between your house and the exchange cause more packet loss along the rest of the route?
I wanted to punch support the other day when they told me the cause of my substantial international packet loss was caused by exchange loss, but it was ONE dropped packet locally, and about 15% on the international leg.

That means if one hop is bad that bad signal will be carried to the next hop and the following Till destination is reached.

my main grip is the single-thread http downloads, something they acknowledged to me mid October and we've been promised a fix for that every week since then... This is an old Cybersmart issue though, which was the reason I left C/Smart in the first place. And if its inherent to Cybersmart's network, I'm not sure CWeb can even fix it. Download managers allow me to queue my frivolous downloads and get good speeds on those, but i don't have the time nor inclination to have to use a download manager during the day when I'm working, and every single time I want to download something small. Its painful watching a 100MB file take half a day to get done.
I'll be cancelling before the 18th, and moving on. The promises and constant talk of upgrades and fixes are starting to bring back horrible memories of the Openweb thread!
What happened to this? Mine still shows last months usage.
And what about credit card payments?

I will say this, I am extremely happy with my account. Probably one of the best I have ever used.
But this thread makes me reluctant to recommend CW to anyone. Lots of questions, lots of vague promises of "end of today" then "this week" then "end of week" then "end of month". The mission statement from the very beginning was that of not wanting to be like the other ISPs, yet here we are with a decreasing presence in the thread and an angry mob.
Surely the "providers" you deal with are able to give you firm dates on completion for upgrades? Surely they are liable for non completion of said upgrades? I am the last person to have to ask these questions, because I currently have no complaints. However, it does worry me when I visit this thread and all I see is raging customers.

What pisses me off even more is that there has been no communication from CW lately. No emails, very very vague answers on this thread, most of the time has nothing to do with the issues. So much for transparency...

I have to agree. I also miss the feedback and just general chat.

Question for the technical guys.....when watching Supersport it auto adjusts the quality. The problem is that it never stays constant. it auto adjusts like a 100 times during a game. Is this the site or an ISP issue?
I was busting Support's chops last night because of poor speeds and no communication from CW. They have until 18 Dec to deliver or I'm gone.
