0.5% packet loss for ADSL is normal, especially for a connection as awful as my one is. The problem is the int. packetloss... can't do things like watch a twitch.tv stream.

Download WinMTR and do a test.
If the results look like mine you know you have problems.
Pathping and tracert reveal less packet losses by me.
Using WinMTR paints complete different story.

Why would packet loss between your house and the exchange cause more packet loss along the rest of the route?My guess is that it isn't normal though as losing packets between your house and the exchange will only cause more packet loss along the rest of your route.

CW I would like an answer as to when we will be getting what we paid for. We were promised that these issues would not continue into this month...it has and it has even been getting worse. Dial-up is faster than this...I mean really 4kb/s on NNTP?

Surely the "providers" you deal with are able to give you firm dates on completion for upgrades? Surely they are liable for non completion of said upgrades?
I have to agree. I also miss the feedback and just general chat.
I understand there are some non disclosure agreements in place, but surely there can be better communication?
