They said they're experiencing problems on their network with dlink routers

What?

I think she's talking nonsense.

Best to test with another borrowed router before forking out cash for another one based on what this woman has told you. I don't buy it.

It is always the easiest for Telscum to blame the ISP or customer's hardware...Been there, done that...And after telling CW about the problem I had, I think he just went the extra mile and sort everything out on my behalf.

She said the problem is with my dlink router (which was working for moths) and I need to replace it with a different brand at my own cost.

She is talking absolute cr@p.
I work IT retail and the amount of customers I have coming in to buy routers on Telskums recommendation is extremely high. Not so great when they come back 3 days later to say that they have the same problem and now we get to take back an open router.

They love to blame everything else possible.

:D

Well, If the router is of better quality, hopefully they like it and use it instead of the old one... then call 10210 to say it's still not fixed lol

I have the same dlink router Telkom issues to their clients, the 2750u or something like that. She's obviously talking sht. She closed my ticket, so I opened another one. Let's hope another operator gets the new ticket.

My DNS is in the default settings - obtain from PPPOE. Should I try Google's?

Thanks. Nope, just had some strange experiences with D-Links and DNSes. Your fault is with your line/Telkom, unfortunately, as you likely know.

Telkom came to the party, and I've now got my 10Mbps setup.

Working great - 25 minutes to download a 1.6 gig Steam patch, so I'm able to sit here with my fractured patella, and play Pillars of Eternity in short order.

Nice!

Fuuuuuuck.

Line is DCing every couple of minutes, FFS.

Took Telkom nearly three weeks to do the upgrade, how long now to actually make it work?

perhaps a port reset and power cycle ?

What is your router reporting as your line stats? (SnR, attenuation, etc).

Upstream, as you can see, is ****ed.

You'd think they'd have some process, whereby they check if an upgrade is going to bork the line. Too much to expect, I suppose.

Still pushing through those changes guys? I'm on 4meg Home Premium Uncapped.

Torrents are also slow, spikes to 200kbps though, now down to 50kbps

Anybody else struggling with SS streaming?
Frequent spinning circle, occasionally total lack of throughout and constant poor quality (I guess about 380p).
I've refreshed the streams several times.
