Well check if it changes at 5pm or 6pm... some people on here have seen some massive difference after those times.

It's not throttled due to usage, it's a brand new account. I was mistakenly/temporarily put on an uncapped 10mbps account while my capped account was sorted out, but I'm still waiting for an update and getting more and more nervous as the clock creeps closer to 5pm.
 
I signed up for the 1TB Capped account this morning. No reply as yet and there is no number to phone in to chase up... I am sitting with no internet at the moment, so looks like this is a still born exercise for me.
 
I played a few CS games this morning, ping hovered around 100ms each game. I came to CW to be rid of frequent problems, and this isn't much of a good start.
What is weird though, is that ping on Teamspeak was fine at 26ms so it seems only those CS servers were affected.

Oh, and I'm currently downloading the new Nvidia update at 190kB/s on a 40Mbit connection......

I've signed up for a new home premium uncapped account this morning and am still awaiting the account details. I understand that there is/was a problem with the account provisioning system, however can I still expect to hear anything during the course of today? What time do CW employees clock out? :)

the staff have all been politely told that they are not clocking out until there is no provisioning back log.

I really don't understand what's going on. I've now received a second invoice for a Premium Business Uncapped 10mbps account, which is not what I signed up for. This is really frustrating guys.
 
All up and running at home and can already feel the improvement of service. Twitch streaming on high right now, can sometimes only manage medium on WA.. and websites are way more responsive.

Edit... actually buffering a bit on high, smooth on Medium.. is this to be expected?

okay I've got access to your account sorted out. Unfortunately getting the account working to its design requires me to sit down with one of the techs who is busy with provisioning.

I have a question on windows updates...why are they so super slow on CW? It's the only problem I have. Downloading a 400mb windows updates this morning for my pc and it has been going for an hour and a half and is now sitting at 94%. (10m line and capped account)

Same for me and with mac updates on the mac app store.

Seems these http downloads are not given priority.

Either you guys are in a region that is currently seeing a lot of contention, or you're all connecting through to the Cape Town IPC and are seeing the same slowdown issues as me. Paul mentioned a few pages back in this thread that they're working on it and simultaneously waiting for Telkom to provision the extra hardware and bandwidth.

I am in North West province. I don't have any problems with downloads - always running at full line speed no matter what time of the day. Streaming, gaming etc is also fine. It is only with windows updates that I have problems.

I'm unsure how CW's shaper classifies Windows Updates, you might have to ask them what the issue is there. For me, it is Steam and Twitch that run nearly at full blast, while Youtube is somewhat affected during the day and any download protocols like HTTP or torrents don't get up to line speed at all. Its been a recent development and its very frustrating.
