I played a few CS games this morning, ping hovered around 100ms each game. I came to CW to be rid of frequent problems, and this isn't much of a good start.
What is weird though, is that ping on Teamspeak was fine at 26ms so it seems only those CS servers were affected.

Oh, and I'm currently downloading the new Nvidia update at 190kB/s on a 40Mbit connection......

Looks like it was an IS problem as I had the same issue on WA. Seems to be fixed now though

After being told yesterday by support that they can't see a problem I'm a little disappointed with the current speeds. When I signed up 2 weeks ago I never had any of these issues. Eventually even gave up trying to stream a movie as it was running around 100-200KB/s and buffering every 10 seconds.

Cape Town streaming still a problem on home capped I see...

Getting buffering on 720p YouTube streams.

Latency is still great though.

Please keep us posted on the CT IPC deployment!

Yeah, so this "CW Web Support" is pretty useless. Paul, how long does it take for them to get back to me?
I sent a question on Saturday and asked again today (6h) - nothing as of yet.

Yeah streaming seems to be maxing just above 200kb/s. Im on a 4mb line so assume I can handle two streams. Twitch can be quite heavy on high, Netflix just predownloads consuming b/w so tricky to find a balance between the two and only 200 odd kb/s available. Full line speed would suffice im sure. Im currently limiting my wifes download rate, seems to be ok for netflix.

Better than WA though.

I'm unsure how CW's shaper classifies Windows Updates, you might have to ask them what the issue is there. For me, it is Steam and Twitch that run nearly at full blast, while Youtube is somewhat affected during the day and any download protocols like HTTP or torrents don't get up to line speed at all. Its been a recent development and its very frustrating.

Yes got the same issue http/nntp/torrents never see's full line speed ever been like this for 2 weeks now,

If you are in the Cape, That is correct - Our Upstream provider is working on the issue, JHB and DBN should be running 100% however.

When you are only supplying 20% of my line capacity (200kbs) but accepting 100% of the home capped 120gb subscription on a 10mb line then I require either a more detailed response with timelines or a discount on the subscription or an option to cancel immediately. You are selling a service you are not delivering on and I am being expected to just be patient. Doesn't work like that in afraid.

Suck it up, all ISPs are like this, sad but the reality of the situation.
