Awesome, I managed to get the weather to work on the stock rooted ROM

AH damn.... Hopefully will change though... Jelly bean hasn't come out yet for the razr on miui.

Yeah, some blame it on the locked bootloader of moto devices, many work arounds needs to be done to get things working and that causes more battery for the same effect...a reason why I gave up on my razr and got a one X....but damn the one X's signal reception is terrible compared to the razr...

Seriously the Razr has the best reception, call quality, build quality on all the phones I used so far (galaxy SII, Nne X, iphone 4s), and all that is the fundamentals for a phone.

I am due for an upgrade and I really really want the Razr or the Razr Maxx, but the consultant at Smartcom tells me there is no stock at the warehouse and its been discontinued? Can someone confirm this and if so with what will they be replacing the Razr?

Yes...Vodacom have discontinued the RAZR.

No news on replacement model.

Bad batt life on ICS

Anybody experiencing bad battery life on ICS?

At first ICS seemed to significantly improve batt life but lately I can hardly managed 8 hours on normal use and have to limit all my activities to get through the day. This seems to be a known/common issue on ICS

Try hard booting a few times every week, maybe I'm smoking crack but this seems to be making quite a difference.

(Hard booting = hold power & volume down for about 10 seconds, probably will take a screenshot but shortly after it turns off)

Might have something to do with resetting cache or something? If it is a problem I hope JB fixes it.

I see there have been OTA leaks for the US, China and last night a European one, although a zip file still needs to surface from someone who caught it in EU. I'm going to check now and then for an update in hope of a ME leak.

I am already running jellybean. Used the GSM patch and the leaked OTA for US.
Very smooth and buttery. But it looks like Google Now is decreasing my battery life. Have not tested to be 100% sure.

I flashed the EU version to update mine to ICS, so JB shouldn't be a problem. Use at your own risk though .

Not sure if this was discussed but before you update bear in mind that there's no way to get root on JB (at time of this post)
