Yeah, A3010 is definitely 3T. For a second there I thought you may have got a 3!
Downloaded devcheck and CPU Z.
All specs match up to 3T. Just the colour, I definitely ordered gunmetal.
Weird, I prefer gunmetal but as long as the specs are correct I'm good.

Yeah, it's a very light gunmetal grey. The pic in the ad is actually quite a away off the actual colour...

Ah ok. Extremely happy with the phone.
Haven't put it through its paces, but it seems like something i can hang onto for a while.
Slowly installing my apps while still removing the other phone. Stock ROM is great too.

Best phone I've ever purchased. Had mine for almost 3 weeks now and absolutely loving it.

Ive had my Note 4 for almost 3 years, and it can go for another 2 :)
If my screen of my note 3 did not break I'd still be using it, had it for over 3 years.
At this price point though I can't see much better options.
The Note series is great though.

+1, I bought it as my secondary device, 6s being my primary. But they've swapped rolls now. The only thing that will prevent me from being a one plus convert from here on out is the lack of local support.

Great always wondered since you were so full on iPhone.

Yeah, I still think a jailbroken iPhone trumps anything out of the droid stable, but stable and reliable jailbreaks are hard to come by, tired of jumping through hoops every time I want to customize an icon...

My mine gripe however, has been Androids inability to replicate the smoothness and responsiveness of an iPhone/iOS UI, generally poor ram management and internal space restrictions. External memory in the form of a SD card comes with its own set of limitations. The rigmarole to get my daughters A5 to treat the SD card as internal memory?!! Good grief! And then once it did, performance took a knock!! Fck me! And don't get me started on the bloatware!!

Anyway, the 3T, with the Snapdragon 821 processor, 6gb of ram (and well utilized), 64gb rom, bare boned OS with virtually 0 bloatware, superb build quality and most importantly, silky smooth performance, is just such a pleasure!!

If you dont want bloatware, never go for a Samsung. Any Google devices ala the Nexus series, or the Pixel are good bets.

Agreed. I've owned a few Sammies over the years. There haven't always been better alternatives at better prices. The s series have historically set the benchmark in top end android smartphones. S2 absolute legend and so on... But the last couple of years have seen some compelling alternatives. I was in the market for a 2nd hand S7 until I saw a 3T advertised over on carbs. The rest is history.

Hi guys, been tracking this post for some time now and I think I am going to take the plunge and buy the device!

One question I had was whether you guys instructed them to leave the stock chinese rom? Their default action is to open up the device and load a custom international rom, does this get OTA updates?

I found some screen protectors and cases over at Zasstra, locally based chinese store, probably going to pick up my cases from them.

What was the TOTAL price you folks paid when ordering from Ali Express?

I'm in the UK right now but phone is 399 quid new. I see the actual price is cheaper on Ali Express but it excludes shipping and custom charges..so I'd like to know TOTAL price.

Yeah, international rom here. When the 4.0.3 update dropped, i was prompted to download and install ota so I don't see any issues with updates. Because I am rooted I couldn't install ota.

Ok thanks. Seems not much in it then...
Ok just checked:
Customs and VAT: R391.70
DHL Disbursement fee: R150.00
Cost of phone: R6 309.84

So I underestimated cost of the actual phone. For some reason I thought it was was just over R6k.
