OpenWeb ADSL Account

Nice one mrbeep.

I dont blame you. This guy has been repeating the same old song all day. He is probably unemployed, thats why he hangs around the forums all day.

I believe this was explained in the feedback thread.

Removal of this product has been part of the plan since January. We are developing a new unshaped product that will suit a wider audience.

Currently clients who have purchased Gold Uncapped Unshaped will be able to retain their accounts (except of course for those that abuse our staff).

I'm afraid as much as you are trying to create the great OpenWeb Conspiracy theory of 2013 - this will not be achieved.

We would have investigated your matter further, but unfortunately you chose to go down a path we have no time for. Thus I decided to terminate your account.

I take note of your earlier threats of persistence, but i'm afraid we see this matter as closed.

If any of our clients are experiencing issues, please join us on the official OpenWeb ADSL feedback thread, or email [email protected]

No further replies will be made on this thread.

Which horse puked you out dude?

Do you even have an openweb account?

I love how the trolls miraculously crawl out from their dungeons when some misinformed person starts bashing a company. The same thing happened to Afrihost that happened to Webafrica that happened to Mweb thats now happening to Openweb.

Sorry cant chat, I am busy downloading a torrent thats burning up my line...

Read the threads, you are obviously oblivious to the problems @ OpenWeb.

I read these threads daily. Which is more thank I can say for you with your 15 marvelous posts most of which are bashing Openweb. If thats not suspicious, then I dont know.

I have been an openweb subscriber since they started in 2005. I have had my ups and downs, like with any ISP but can safely say that openweb outshines them all. Their accounts work consistenly and solidly. I had unshaped, uncapped, capped, specials name it, ive had it. I am currently on gold and standard (dont ask). Gold works better, granted, but you pay for what you get.

It wouldnt surprise me if you and Blankman is one? It is so funny that as soon as he starts his little game on here, you suddenly jump out of the dungeon with so much to say and add, and only on openweb threads? You mustve kept all this bottled up for a long time didnt you?

I do not know this person, i am also @ OpenWeb, this is no game, you are lucky not having any problems.
Why do they keep on changing a persons account details?

Perhaps you should read the threads.

I quote from MrB:
"Changing login details is part of the troubleshooting process. We try different shaping profiles, routes, and realms in order to rule out the account as a problem.

If this does not resolve the problem, we look at hardware, Telkom line and exchange.

If a user has an issue, we would rather rule out all possibilities, and get to the core of the issue, than to leave them hanging with a slow connection."

Makes sense to me. With Openweb if you have an issue, it is usually sorted out within the hour. If that means I have to change my login details, then im happy. Unlike some Isps where you have to wait for 600 people to 'look' at your problem first, and then they only start investigating the issue. No thank you!

Maybe you and MrBEEP is one person?
No other ISP will change an account to troubleshoot.
MrBEEP should acknowledge that they have IPC issues.
South African consumers are gullible to this type of service.

I've had my fair share of problems with Openweb, just like any ISP. Where OW shines however is their dedication to their customers. Any problem I've ever had was fixed in under an hour, and even then MOST of the issues were my router or copper line. After I had Telkom at my place 3 weeks ago I've been running at nearly 200% my account capacity 24/7. I can safely say I've NEVER been shaped below 90% of my purchased speed and have NEVER been throttled for any reason.

Openweb, I salute you.

hhahaha, now you're just sounding desperate dude.

You dont get it? They do it in order to get the customer up and running as quickly as possible.
I hardly think Internet Solutions has IPC problems.

You are now sounding like that Blankman dude that started this thread. Dont you have homework to do?

Do you not understand the meaning of contention? You share bandwidth with others and if you're unlucky enough to get a data hog, Openweb will give you another account that has a better contention.

You posted speed test results today?
So you have had no problems?

Go google it, please include unshaped.

You're taking the piss arent you? This is a joke?

He just said, and I quote iJasper: "I've had my fair share of problems with Openweb, just like any ISP"

We all have had problems one time or another. If we didnt it wouldnt be technology. She is a moody beast. The difference is, Openweb cares enough to want to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.

Sorry, I mustve missed it, but what problem are you experiencing with your Openweb account currently Censored?

I was also on a Gold Account, UNCAPPED, UNSHAPED!!! All I did was query why my line speed dropped from 4MB after hours to 10kbps during the day. The type of accounts or colour of accounts are not what I am querying, its the fact that OpenWeb throttles during the day and you get told its CONTENTION? I do not pay for a CONTENTION service. Lucky for you, u haven't had any problems.

Oh and anyway Mr Cable Guy I am not here to entertain anyone, I am posting on the forum to let users know about their bad service and what u receive is not what you pay for.

honestly, if they did notify you guys about what mr.beep said... to your email or sms whaty ever meduim then you should of taken action yourself to change package or what ever.

i agree if you didnt get the service BUT if you did get notified you are at fault. but if no notification or anything then openweb is at fault and should apologize. But abusive language will not work. ('ve learnt then hard way... MWEB, ofcourse)

Removal of this product has been part of the plan since January. We are developing a new unshaped product that will suit a wider audience.

i think you guys should just look for something else for time being till OW gets these new packages sorted and ready for you guys...

other than that - report to support. and thats all i can say... ive been here since this thread started and story keeps changing! i PM'ed blankman to try get him to contact OW in nice manner and also ofcourse get evidence... i dont like when people say one thing and is false and doesnt have evidence to proof anything.

and yes OW is throttled from 8am to 5pm. ok for me : P2P dl starts around 6am and by time throttling starts guess what? all done.

if you guys are expecting business level accounts for consumer prices you came to the wrong ISP haha... i agree they shouldnt then ofcourse name it unshaped but rather said shaped and semi-unshaped. (for when low network load) but other than that i've had my say about the matter.
