Anybody else having issues loading vodacom.co.za? It resolves but then just loads and loads and stays on a blank screen.

I can't load it on my openweb and mweb accounts, so it's probably down.

My interwebz are flying today :D I'm not sure what the issue was yesterday, just happy it's sorted.

Yep, just checked with our Webafrica account, it's not completely down but slow as balls. Trying to get info but pages are taking 10 minutes to load.
 
My openweb account has been an absolute blessing in the last month or so. So glad I caught on to the silver uncapped special. One issue has cropped up. Although it's uncapped, it's kinda fun to see how much I've downloaded. I used to be able to do this by logging on to the users.isdsl.net webpage, but now it just says "Invalid username or password". Any ideas on that?

My line speeds and tracert are looking good but I have massive in game latency spikes, what could it be ?

I had the same thing yesterday, tried to play a little WoW and latency ranged between 400ms to 1200ms at times.. came right eventually though. I put it down to the current Seacom/EASSY/rerouting-to-restore-capacity situation
 
Yea I am thinking the same thing, my WOW home is constant at 186 but the world does 186-1200 but very intermittently. Does not feel like its the ISP or telkom, but could be wrong.

Herewith our network unshaping schedule for this weekend. We will be unshaping the network at the following times for the entire weekend:

Platinum - 17:30
Gold - 18:00
Silver - 18:15
Standard and Vanilla - 19:00

Must say my special edition 10mb account has tapered off somewhat the last couple of days. Running at around 30% max line speed during office hours and around 80% after hours.

1st 10 days were 50%-60% and 90%-100%...

Logged into EU WoW now (Twilights Hammer) - Home 242ms / World 249ms :(

Not good for a Gamer King account that is supposed to have gaming traffic prioritized on a Platinum level - MrBEEP can you confirm that these bad latencies are due to the recent Seacom / EASSY troubles, or should I be troubleshooting my account?

does Network only monitor single PC? Would it be any good in my scenario where I have 2 PC's, laptop and phone all using internet connection?

Well, install it on each PC and your laptop, then it can monitor the usage of each one of them individually. It also has an option to synchronize usage with other Networx devices on your network, so yes I'd say it would be good for any scenario, especially if you want to check your usage.

As for your phone, perhaps you can get an app that would show you your usage there, but download the program and have a look at the settings I'm sure you'll benefit from it. I'm just using it on one PC, so I'm not really too bothered by all of it's fancy features and how it would interface with other devices on the network.

As explained earlier this week, the Seacom cable itself is still down. International traffic is running over backup links that take a range of different paths to reach the destination.

Most ISP's are affected by this, and unfortunately there isn't much one can do.

Once Seacom is back up and running, all will return to normal

Are you in the Western Cape area? This area is still running quite full with torrents. However, yesterday we saw around a 30% drop, which means it is clearing.

Good stuff.
