Everything back to normal this morning, but sjoe it was bad last night. :(

I briefly had to resort to Mweb *shudder*

I've had a 2mbps Gamer King account for a couple months now and I must say that it has been performing really well. Service at OpenWeb is good as well. The only thing that I think really needs work on is their client zone, although I was told it is being further developed :)
 
Account: 4Mbps Gold Uncapped, Unshaped

Strange things afoot in Cape Town today.

Getting full utilization (>400Kbps) on .za downloads, e.g. ftp://ftp.is.co.za/ls-lR.bz

International, on the other hand struggling to get more than 50Kbps.

Seacom again?
 
Having the same problem I've been having the past week.

After 5/6PM my speeds are fine.
During the day international barely works. Takes me 5-10 minutes to load up a international website. Unable to load speed test. Normal HTTP downloads are at 3Kbps. But international pings are good.

Other capped accounts work fine.
 
Same here it has been this way the whole week, it feels like ultra shaping. My http downloads also went back to normal yesterday around 6 and my torrents only around midnight.
 
We have made our supplier aware of the problems with international in the Western Cape region.

Senior engineers are investigating the issue currently
 
Hit 450GB. Ran out of Linux Distros.
Now it's Hulu for the rest of the month.
 
Hi,

Are there issues with international speeds today? I'm in JHB and battling to stream video right now.
 
Got an "alternate routing account" from OpenWeb support and international is working perfectly again now.

Hopefully stays that way.
 
Internet connection dropped twice today between 1-3pm for the first time in months.
 
International is almost dead here. 30Kb/s downloading from sourceforge.

andddd dropped connection.

i sign up for 1mbps gamers king lastnight but didnt get my login details?
but i have enterd my card details for a debit order

but still says Awaiting EFT Proof of Payment/Debit Order Activation



so i wont be able to use it tonight?
