I mailed Openweb... late last night and this morning I'm greeted with my new account. This is service I can get used to. Thank you guys!

Hey MrBeep, my account is running worderfully except for one thing. I cannot watch any stream on twitch.tv still.

I even tried this morning at 2:30AM, and couldnt watch a 240p stream. :(

Absolutely everything else runs wonderfully though.

I was streaming the Wan Show last night and Linus gave us this link to watch it. "http://beta.twitch.tv/" It streamed without any error for me. You guys can try using it too I guess.

Interesting though, with my ADSL line as 3mbit

Should be unshaped now, no?

Hi. Mr Beep. I saw a couple of posts back about Openweb "managing" the Telkom ADSl lines. Is this still going to be happening?

If so, do you perhaps have an idea as to when?

I would much prefer to rather deal with your company than Telkom. I have been a long time client and the service I have received has been brilliant.

Yup, same here. So over dealing with telkom. This line bundling needs to happen ASAP.
Hear that MrBEEP...A.S.A.P. ;)

since i've canceled my gamers king downloaders bling account i'm much happier. my gold account work without any problem 24/7. i've had problems with my telkom line yet my adsl worked fine. a gold account may cost more but its worth every cent. very little or no shaping. thats how a gold account should work. great job Openweb!

This is definitely on the cards, along with some other amazing services.

We will announce it as soon as its ready :)

OpenWeb will be a very different angel come a few months from now....

Really looking forward to all of this.

Not 100% convinced tbh.

The current setup works pretty well for me: I phone Telkom, tell them I tried 3x different ISP, including a Telkom Internet account...all of them blow...common denominator is the crap physical ADSL line...fix it. That usually kills all talk about the data package being the problem.

I've had an ISP manage the line before & def not going back. ISP blames Telkom & Telkom either blames ISP or flat out refuses to deal with you (since technically you're not the one renting the line). Never again...

@Mr Beep: If the bundled lines are the new thing you're talking about, please keep selling pure data too.

Couldn't agree more.

Please keep selling pure data accounts (can't see why they wouldn't) but I also prefer having my line with Telkom instead of my ISP.

I enjoy when the network is unshaped, i can actually play online games. And to top it off, download @ 800kB/s and play online at the same time @ 30ms latency! :D

This is true, this is true.
Just so sick of dealing with telkom BS all the time, y'know.
(I don't think you need to worry about OW not selling pure data, that wouldn't be smart on their part IMO.)
