OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread

I have the same constantly high latency, pings and dropped packets.

Logged several faults with Telkom, they just keep signing them off without fixing it. Escalated the issue now, as it has been a constant since November 2012.
If no feedback or resolution within a week, will escalate to ICASA.

Telkom maintains there is no congestion on the La Lucia exchange, so then it must be a line fault that must be fixed. Can't have it both ways.

It's a long and arduous journey....

Same issues here - early evening pings are 30ms - after 9pm pings go up to about 300+msimage.png
So much so that the local gaming server throws you off.

Will try to log a call with Telkom and see what transpires.

Hi Grizz,

Please drop me a PM with the username and I will investigate for you

Hello

Maybe you can help.

I thought about using my OW account (which currently is not being used at all) in the office but seems to not work whatsoever (yes i know how to)
Is the account assigned to a specific phone number or something

This sounds like a congested exchange.

The OpenWeb network is very quiet this time of night, where your exchange is actually the opposite. I would suggest logging an official fault with them

Hello

Did you tell them which speed trial account you would like.

I remember reviewing your ticket and it did not contain a requested speed
