Anyone else struggling to connect? I haven't been able to get on since last night :/
 
International is all sorts of messed up again.
Been having severe latency and very low speeds.

Probably Seacom related again...


EDIT: Scratch that, 27000ms latency (yes, 27 THOUSAND) in WoW is not messed up, its unusable.
Oh well.

I am also experiencing slow speeds this morning.

6mb line running at 1mb.
 
Just want to say openweb you guys are incredible!!!!!!!!!

Sorted out my issues in under an hour, i never paid for the last month and they kept me connected because they know my issues with changing banks, paid them this morning and they gave me a new working account.

Brilliant service service guys!!!!!!!!!!!! and thank you for understanding last month and keeping my connection live even though i could not make the payment until the 1st of this month. :D
 
Slow here as well and I expect as much from p2p, but even youtube cant stream 360p atm. 2MB Gamer Uncapped...

Strange Results

Test conducted on 4/1/2013 11:15:16 AM

Download Speed: 308 kbps (38.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 411 kbps (51.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 178 ms

Edit: Seems to be an issue on the IS network as I'm getting the same results from my capped Web Africa account.

International seems to be down for me right now and someone on webafrica...

We are currently only getting reports of slow speeds on MyBroadband.

We havent had a single ticket reporting the same.

We request that you email [email protected] if you have a problem so that we can investigate. Our test lines are running well. Naturally, normal shaping will be applied, as the network is quite busy

Submitted ticket over ticketing system as can't access email (gmail). Account is in my mother's name. Also can't access facebook or even my personal website (hosted in the UK). On the gamer's king 2mb uncapped special. Been a while now and tried restarting a few times, could perhaps be a telkom april fool though...trying another restart.

I have now personally tested your account and can confirm that the fault is not on the account side.

I am sorry you do not believe us, but all indications point towards a router or line fault. I'm afraid no matter which ISP you use in the future, you will experience issues until you resolve the faults as advised.

Well, as usual support insists it's a Telkom/Router problem. At 3am every night it flies yet once 6am hits it slows down gradually. This is complete bs.

Please just note the following:

With a faulty line / router, connecting to any account as a fresh session, you will get favourable results. You must stay connected for a period of time before coming to any conclusions.

Eg, even if you reconnect to your OpenWeb account after around 60 minutes, it will perform great for some time, and then will degrade again due to your core fault.

I trust you guys. Ill go ahead and test the line with other ISPs before taking Hellkom into action.
 
Woke up 30 mins ago, just tested 10mb Gamer Account, and can confirm everything is back to normal.

There was DEFINITELY some sort of IS-related issue in the wee hours of this morning though.
 
My line is also back to normal.

I don't want to request a support ticket each time my line slows down.

Only if it stays like that for a few hours then I will email you guys.
 
I'm still experiencing what seems like heavy shaping during office hours - I just had to log some activity for work, pre 8am loading a site and logging activity took less than 2 minutes. Post 8am, the same activity took close to 10 minutes. HTTP traffic this is... Will log a ticket now.

P.S. this is on 2mb Gold IS.
