I have tested both your account and HTTP is downloading at pretty much full speed.
Kindly have Telkom recreate your ports, then switch off both routers for 10 minutes and provide feedback.
I've done both now, but they're both worse off. Will check speeds again at 5:01pm...
I don't think it matters. As I understand it (and maybe Mr Beep can confirm) it looks at what is happening on the network and then, within the account type (and yes, presumably line/account speed), it adjusts the various protocols to effectively prioritise the "light" ones (http, email) and de-prioritise the "heavier" ones (NNTP, P2P, FTP, etc). But importantly, everyone within the same account type and line/account speed (all else being equal) would experience the same amount of shaping regardless of their previous usage.

Are downloads being capped at a certain speed on silver uncapped accounts? When I'm downloading I can reach 700kbps almost instantly, but from there it crawls up to 715kbps then just hovers there.
I have an 8mb account and my line is synced at 10mbs. So I should not have any issue getting max account speed.

I upgraded yesterday from 2Mbps vanilla to 4Mbps Vanilla (still waiting for my details!). The debit order for the 2Mbps account has already gone off though. Will I have to pay for both accounts for this month now, or will you just charge the extra?
I did log a ticket regarding this and regarding my new details.
