gotten my acc today

and i read that seacom is fixed

speed test 1mbps gamers king
Download Speed: 915 kbps (114.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 190 kbps (23.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 45 ms

:D hope i will be a happy openwebber

Hi Guys

I've recently jumped ship from MWeb and with my notice period coming to an end soon I'm considering OpenWeb for my ISP.

Can anyone give me an idea of the differences between Gamer's Bling and Silver uncapped?

I don't really game that much and download around 100Gb a month (mostly news). My wife works from home during the day so reliability is quite important. I use a VPN to connect to the office network on occasion so I cannot have that port shaped too much.

Line is 2Mb.

If we are currently on Standard, will our debit order be decreased as well?
 
its interesting how many ppl have problems with the "promotion" accounts. there's about three "promotion" problems to every normal account. the normal account holders are usually very happy and loyal customers while the "promotion" account holders got problem upon problem.

mrbeep, just a thought - maybe you should look into this?

I think it is simply that a large portion of promotion takers are active on this site, so will come here first to complain. Also, most promotion takers are new customers.

I have a promotion gold account, and have had issues once in the last 1.5 years or so. The rest of the time I've either been completely unshaped, or troddling along at 250kB/s during office hours (which I find perfectly acceptable)

I've had my gamers king account for a couple months now and it's also been brilliant. Had a bit of a dodgy patch but that was purely down to my line.
 
Anyone else getting shoddy speed today? I'm getting around 1meg on my 2meg gold account..
